Is this product made from Inulin?

It says it contains fructooligosaccharides, also called FOS. According to the wikipedia article on prebiotics, FOS is a short-chain prebiotic (2-8 links per saccharide molecule). Inulin is a longer-chain prebiotic (9-64 links per saccharide molecule). So, no, it is not made from inulin. If you are looking for a good pre-biotic, I would suggest Heather's Tummy Fibre. It is Acacia Senegal and contains about 85% prebiotic fiber, by weight.

This is NOT a prObiotic...it is a prEbiotic -- the difference is the one with the 'E' is the food for gut bacteria....notice the 'PRE' part -- as in, 'before biotics'...and 'biotics' are what bacteria are. So this is something you give your body to feed the bacteria you introduce, and the bacteria are the 'PRO'...food for the bacteria are the 'PRE'........you never see a prebiotic product that is ONLY prebiotics advertised as being a bacteria strain. So get it right; this is not a bacteria-containing product. And it never will be, because that is not what a prebiotic is.

Asking if a prebiotic powder contains bacteria is like asking an apple why it is not a steak. It just is not the same thing, as that would be physically impossible. They are two entirely different things.

All prebiotics are only food FOR probiotics.

Because that is what a prebiotic is. It is not a probiotic.

Does this contain oligofructose?

this is as the label states fructooligosaccharides which is often referred to as oligofructose -- if you're looking for technical aspects, from what I have read the difference is in how the molecule is terminated -- FOS apparently always terminates with a glucose whereas OF is more often only fructose but can have glucose terminals.
