A Windows update, and a driver update, were causing conflicts on my system. I tried to do a system restore. The screen was stuck on "restoring system, 62% complete, do not shut computer" or something like that, for 48 hours. I switched off power, hoping that would jump-start the system restore process. It didn't. i became unable to boot computer normally. Attempts at boot repair did not work. When I used this recovery flash drive, however, the re-installation of Windows 10 brought my computer back to normal. I did not lose any data. This was as good, if not better, than anything the Best Buy Geek Squad might have done. I consider myself lucky, and a very satisfied customer!

The USB I was sent to fix my Windows 10 did not work I didn't see any evidence that my computer picked up its presents. But before that when I open the package I saw the USB wrapped in a letter saying no key code is sold with this USB and if you want to purchase one you can for $40. A total scam! Also it claims to have 24/7 support system but it directs you to an email and I left a message at that email and it's a few hours late later and I still have not received a response back from them and so 24/7 support system is a complete lie.

This worked like a Charm. My HP PC I 7 Windows 10 would not reboot no matter what I tried. I wasted six days with a new Windows CD, DVD- and, a MS Boot USB Disk made with MS downloaded Software that guaranteed to reboot any WINDOWS 10 computer. Nothing worked over 60 hours wasted on MS empty promises. I go back with computers close to 55 years. As a Lawyer I started with DOS, then . Windows 7. 8, 10 and now 11. its a nice piece however going from windows 10 to windows 11 on my microsoft surface is not possible. if it is, i havent had the time to play with the software. i will get to it and i don't want to hold up the review. it is something go have but i haven't repaired computers in 8 years now. valueable for the money.

Based on the description, this was exactly what I needed. Randomly, I was not able to boot into Windows and would only be met with a black screen where I could see the mouse move, but nothing else. I also had a significant amount of trouble booting into Windows safe mode, even after rebooting 3 times before windows tries to load, which is supposed to automatically take you into safe mode. Even during those random times I could get to safe mode, no option would work to correct the issue. Since my SSD boot drive was about 4 years old, I just assumed it needed to be replaced. I bought a new SSD, but needed a way to reinstall Windows 10. However, since I no longer have the Windows 7 DVD which is what was originally purchased and then subsequently upgraded for free, I needed an alternative path. Thus this Key was what I needed to do a clean install of Windows 10. There were no issues during the install and the instructions seemed straight forward. My lack of the 5 star review is due to the cost (I could essentially could have created a recovery key for free, but I failed to do so before the drive failed). Overall, it does what it says it does, but do yourself a favor and create a recovery key and then keep in a safe place where you are going to remember.

Recovered basic Windows 10 operating system. Did not recover onboard keyboard and touch pad. Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Does what is says on the tin. Plug and play. Very simple setup, didn't need to install any drivers as did it itself without the need of the CD. Works just fine as my internal wireless card on my laptop died.

Thus little USB stick was the easiest reinstall ever!!! 2 ways of doing it plug it in hit F2 and boot from the USB or open it in my computer and boot SO EASY!!! I recommend this 100% Super Fast delivery Great price
