Smells great, cleans and is cruelty free? Say less!
This is my new favorite laundry detergent. I use two capfuls in a giant load and everything comes out so clean. I also love the scent.

Gentle but gets things clean
I come back to this detergent over and over again. I have very sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate it at all. I have pets and because it's fragrance free I feel comfortable washing their bedding in it too. I feel that it gets things clean and I don't feel any residue left behind. Because it's liquid I don't have to worry about dissolving powder or pods. I appreciate that it's eco friendly.

Excellent product, good science, could be less wasteful
This worked very well for us (old top loading washer). I didn't put it through any scientific tests or need to deal with serious stains. It's easy to use, just pump once or twice, and it's fragrance-free (I think they sell scented versions as well). I like how committed to science and reality Puracy is, particularly how they stood up to the EWG and their binary neurotic approach to ingredients as mundane as borax, which is completely safe as a <1% ingredient in a laundry detergent. As long as you don't add Puracy to your cereal every morning for the rest of your life, you're good (and probably even if you do...) Seeing actual surfactants in Puracy's ingredients won me over compared to Molly's Laundry Powder, which has none. Molly's only has washing soda, baking soda, Epsom salt, and table salt. I don't know what dark magic Molly's has unlocked there, and it seemed fine when I tried it, but I had no stains to test it on, and I just couldn't get around the lack of surfactants/detergents, the potential long-term accrual of grease/skin oil on clothes due to Molly's not removing it, and any future stain drama where real detergent is needed. I also like that Puracy has enzymes, including lipase, which is less common. (Though I'm confused by stuff Puracy has said about the enzymes needing 15+ minutes to kick in – do they get that amount of time in a typical washing machine's wash cycle, before the rinsing starts? Seems like it's over by then, or almost.) My only complaint is that the pump bottle design wastes some of the product, since it will leave some on the bottom, un-pumpable. I like to flip bottles near their end-of-life to get all the product out. It's not a huge thing, and I guess it's less of a problem if you buy refill jugs and keep refilling – I assume they sell refills.

Doesn't Irritate Sensitive Skin for Adults and Children (Update: packaging issues with pump and leaky bottles)
My child and husband have sensitive skin so I try to buy detergents that aren't loaded with too many chemicals or fragrances. This is the second bottle I've purchased. It seems to clean pretty well in our Bosch front loader. Our clothes came out clean and did not smell of any fragrances. The only stain it could not remove were my toddler's poop stained onesies that were prewashed by hand. The only other thing I did not like was the pump dispenser. It worked for the first few pumps but stopped working. I had an empty California Baby Body Wash pump dispenser so I transferred the liquid detergent to that bottle and threw out the Puracy bottle. I haven't used the second bottle yet but I'm hoping the first bottle was just a random defect. I've been reading that some of the Free & Clear detergents from the big brands still contain a lot of harmful chemicals. Overall, I like this detergent because it doesn't seem to irritate my husband and child's skin and cleans well. UPDATE (4/4/16): The company contacted me about the pump dispense and promptly sent me a new pump which was greatly appreciated. With the second bottle, the pump seemed fine except I constantly found detergent all over top of the dryer where I keep the bottle. I chalked it up to other members of my household possible knocking over the bottle but it did seem odd. I recently bought a 3rd bottle and low and behold, I find the bottle sitting in a small puddle of liquid detergent again after only a week. I thought either it's dripping from the pump nozzle or from the bottom of the bottle. This time, I was pretty certain no one had knocked it over as it's only been a week since I used the detergent and I've been keeping an eye to make sure it hasn't been knocked over or moved. It's kept high out of reach of little ones. I wrapped the bottom of the bottle with saran wrap. After a couple of hours, I picked up the bottle and noticed detergent coming up from the top of the saran wrap which indictated to me that it must be a slow leak coming from the bottom of the bottle. At this point, I need to find an empty bottle to transfer the laundry detergent to because I can't keep dealing with small puddles of liquid detergent. After I'm done with this bottle, I am going to consider trying something else. I like the product but I've had too many issues with the packaging.

WHOA! Concentrated, Effective, and Gentle
I was a bit skeptical; there are a bunch of bad reviews out there. I do think there was an old formula, which might have been what lead to those. After using All Free & Clear and Woolite Dark (as needed), I'm truly impressed, especially given I have only so-so front-load washers in a laundry room. They're allegedly H.E. Factors I was looking at: -Super sensitive skin -Cleaning power at recommended 1-2 pumps -Cleaning power for hand washing -No oil spots after a wash -Color protection (based on dye on Shout Color Catchers) -Safe for designer clothes with non-standard materials like neoprene Across the board, it's blown me away! Seriously, 1 little pump does handle most loads I do (full pop-up hamper). I've done 1.5 if its full and contains a bunch of gym gear. If you have a larger top-load machine, I can see two pumps getting used; I just don't have a machine that size. For hand washing, in a mostly-full wash basin, half a pump is PLENTY. One pump had me rinsing way more than needed. Colors don't seem to bleed much, whether dark denim or another heavy dye. I have Lululemon shorts with a liner the did cause me to break out occasionally, and that's stopped now. Lastly, it's been great on uncommon designer materials... from heavy cottons (that hold sweat), to neoprene (that holds everything), to delicate acid-worn jersey and voile. Bonus: per load, it's CHEAPER than many other detergents!

Incredible Results – A Must-Have for Stain Removal!
This product truly delivers! It’s completely removed tough stains like oil (from salad dressing), blood, and even rust from my white dress Burberry shirt. As an architect and real estate broker, I need to look sharp for client meetings, but I’m also frequently onsite at active construction projects—so stains happen. I only wish I had discovered this sooner. It could have saved so many high-end pieces I sadly tossed, thinking the stains were permanent. What really impressed me is how effectively it removes stains without damaging the fabric or fading the colors. I’ve used it on Burberry, Gucci, Valentino, and Christian Dior items, and every time they’ve come out looking brand new. Even a blood stain on a white Burberry dress shirt disappeared completely! Incredible Results – A Must-Have for Stain Removal! Highly recommend—this product is a game changer. A+ I’ve also recently purchased their detergent and love the way it smells, it’s minimal packaging and refillable pump.

Best detergent ever!
I am *obsessed* with this detergent. 1) The smell??? Oh em gee. Intoxicating. It’s the epitome of fresh linen. No other detergent compares. 2) It’s non-toxic! Healthy for my family. I’ve noticed a decrease in allergies, illness, & skin issues since switching to this brand. 3) It cleans so well! Excellent at doing its job. I will note that I noticed an increase in product effectiveness when paired with a laundry booster. I use the Active brand enzyme laundry booster + borax + baking soda (all non toxic boosters to help your detergent work better), and WOW! An amazing quartet of products. Highly recommend!!!

CONTAINS THE BIOCIDE: Benzisothiazolinone (Biodegradable Preservative).
I was very excited to find a 'Pure' laundry soap that works and smells good! I used it twice and when I went to purchase a refill, I noticed one of the questions asked why this product scored an F on the EWG. The answer to this question was claiming that their stabilizer, Borax gives them a low score, but they didn't address the Benzisothiazolinone. The first time I read the ingredients, I assumed that this ingredient was a natural, biodegradable ingredient. But after seeing the F score on the EWG, I decided to look it up Benzisothiazolinone, as it was the only ingredient that I didn't recognize. I found a lot of scary things, such as this: "Health hazards: It is known as toxicant material for human immune system, and also is classified as irritant for skin, eyes and lungs.[4] It is widely used as active ingredient of many home cleaning products." The company Puracy claims that you shouldn't follow the EWG standards for their product and that instead you should check the MSDS. Well I looked up the Material Safety Data Sheet for Benzisothiazolinone and I found even more scary things, stating that it had a direct link to causing cancer. Please google this and look it up yourself as I originally made to mistake of trusting others. I decided to put a little Puracy Laundry Soap on my finger tips and within five minutes I was breaking out in a severe rash. The rash went away within a couple of days and we stopped using the soap. I am giving this product one star, because as a natural company with a name like Puracy, I think it is greatly deceiving that customers would pay more for this product thinking that they are using a natural product, yet this product is just as dangerous as anything else on the market. I soon discovered that 90% of all organic soaps contain Parabens, Toxins & Biocides. Puracy uses Borax as a stabilizer and Benzisothiazolinone as a preservative, yet natural enzyme companies like Kleen Free don't use any of those toxins. They only contain enzymes. Do a little research and decide for yourself. [...]

This Puracy works very well. I recommend buying the stain remover also, cit works well for those stubborn stains. If this matters to you they donate to charity from the sales of their soap products. 👍

Best Detergent I have ever used
I was actually recommended this product by CoPilot (the Microsoft AI) after asking it, "What is the best industrial strength detergent that I can buy for bedclothes?" Puracy was top of the list! I was a bit skeptical having tried quite a few detergents (Amway S8 powder and a few others) and wondering if this would be good enough for my needs. I was trying to find a great detergent for my bedclothes and pillowcase to clean away the body oils, especially from the pillowcase (as I am bald). After following directions I put 4 squirts into the washing machine with a full load in a regular front loader and waited to see how everything would come out. After the first wash I did a second wash but without any detergent whatsoever. After everything was put into the dryer I was very pleasantly surprised when taking everything out that everything had been cleaned very thoroughly. Spots on the fitted sheet that had been there before were now gone. The pillowcase was back to as good as new. One last thing - no scent!! Marvelous!!!!! All in all, well worth the money and a relief that I found something that has lived up to its promise and recommendation.

A high-performance detergent that’s thoughtfully formulated
The concentration is no joke. You only need a small amount per load, which makes the bottle last far longer than traditional detergents. That alone makes it feel like a smart investment rather than just another “natural” swap. Performance-wise, it genuinely delivers. The enzyme blend tackles everything from everyday wear to stubborn stains without needing pre-treatment. Gym clothes, towels, and heavily used linens come out fresh and fully clean, not masked with fragrance, just actually clean. That’s a BIG distinction. The scent is light, crisp, and not overpowering. It doesn’t cling aggressively to fabrics or compete with other scents. If you prefer laundry that smells clean rather than perfumed, you’ll appreciate this. What really sets it apart is how well it rinses. No residue. No stiffness. No weird film buildup over time. Fabrics feel soft and look bright without needing extra additives. If you’re looking for a high-performance detergent that’s thoughtfully formulated and efficient, this one is absolutely worth it. It performs like a premium product while aligning with cleaner ingredient standards, and that combination is rare. I’ll be repurchasing.
