It seems kind of expensive for a couple of pieces of stainless steel welded together, and a tube?

Our system is the least expensive off grid, non electric water distiller that actually works long term. Quality, 304 stainless, forming moulds, and labor in the USA isn't cheap. I'm sure we could have it made in China for 1/3 the cost and yet have fewer and fewer people in the USA without a job. :-)

Any chance of making a version with steel water tube like SurvivalStill? Any further info about silicone tube used?

No sorry. It's not needed. FDA approved surgical grade high temperature silicone tubing. Most people live it because of flexibility to move collection anywhere. Some users buy extra so they can put it on the floor next to stove and fill larger containers.

What is the maximum Gallons Produced in a 24 hour period under ideal conditions ? What would be a more realistic rate of gallons per hour produced ?

I got about 6oz in one hour the first time I used it just to try it out, but I only had 2 small pans... supposedly you can get more using a larger cool water pan on top.
