DPTOOL DPS6 Dual Clutch Transmission Reinstall Reset Tool Set

Kit worked great for resetting a Focus DPS6 clutch. Like the description says, the newer version has a cast iron center piece. However, my one of the sets of clutch fingers was damaged (worn) from a failed slave/throwout bearing, and I decided just to replace the clutch as well. In other words, I should have skipped buying this. It notes on this item that it's frequently returned. I suspect it's from customers thinking they're going to reuse a clutch and discovering that they need a new one. This tool is only needed if you're reusing your DPS6 clutch.

Works as it should. A necessity when resetting ford DCT clutches.

The raised ring on the inside of the tool they ship prevents you from resetting and locking the inner tangs . Notice how it is raised rather than flat like the pictures they show

I got tool to do focus clutch ,tool came fast so great ,used the tool it will not work on resetting I had to make a spacer for the clutch to sit on out of 1/2 plywood or the tool bottoms out against its self won’t reset bottom clutch if ok with that then the tool works .me I returned it if I buy a special tool I don’t expect to have to rig it to work

Second clutch tool wouldn’t push clutch fingers down due to tool stopped against shaft. Made spacer to raise clutch up 3/4” and then was able to reset clutch properly. Used tool on 2016 ford focus clutch.

J ai reussi a bien reengager ma clutch avec cet equipement que je ne trouvais nulle part. Bien que je trouvais dispendieux ca m a quand meme economiser des frais puisque j ai fait le travail moi-meme.
