YES IT IS! I purchased this when my fiancé and I got a new mattress. We have 5 dogs and I didn’t want doggo spit up getting on our new bed. I actually got two. A mattress encasement (a 360 zippered cover) and this waterproof one for on top. I didn’t want to be unzipping the encasement off of a California King bed to wash it often. So this one being waterproof and the fitted sheet style was perfect. Easy on and off for cleaning if a dog got sick or we spilt a drink. It’s is also noiseless by the way. So …how waterproof is it? I read so many reviews on these things my eyes went numb. I finally settled on this one. I am glad I did. Never even thought this would be why we would need it. Have you ever seen a woman turn into a squirt gun? Like old school 1985 style one pump equals one squirt… on occasion I am lucky enough to be on the receiving/drinking end of such a wonder. Really doesn’t make too much of a mess. What I didn’t know was my fiancé has the ability to become a wave…tsunami…super soaker. Whatever you want to call it. My goddess geyser also had no clue she had this feature. This sucker held enough wet to soak a bath sheet sized towel! So if you need a waterproof cover, this would be your choice. You are welcome.

It’s fine. But it’s not a zippered mattress cover. It only overs the top. I will be ordering another. This will not prevent from bed begs.
