Sturdy, well made and effective.
At first, this was awkward to use, but this press is very well made, sturdy (previous different brands broke) and crushes well. The detachable aspect lets you clean thoroughly and after a while, you are used to its ergonomics.

Absolutely LOVING it.
My wife loves garlic. Peeling garlic? Not so much. I was skeptical at first, but this garlic press truly makes it unnecessary to peel the single cloves. Put them in, squeeze them, scrape it clean and done you are. The hinge-less design is truly brilliant. And thank you to whoever sold it as "used like new" to me at half price. I immediately bought it for my mom as a gift at full price afterwards. Some things are just a must in the kitchen. And this is one of them. Great quality, fantastic ease of use (although, you have to have a strong grip!), and awesome design which makes it super easy to use and clean. Absolutely loving it!

Holy fragrant bulbs, Batman!
I bought this thing after reading all the positive reviews, and after two weeks of having it, I finally got the chance to use it today. Trust me--all the positive reviews are right. This thing rocks. It's very well made, well-engineered, and thoughtfully executed. Simply pop a clove in the 'basket' (without peeling, of course), bring the handles together, and with a satisfying crunch, you have instant minced garlic with very little waste. Take the handles apart and use the solid piece (cleverly designed) to scrape the peeling out of the other piece, and start the process again (and again and again and again....😄). I used a knife to scrape the garlic off the 'basket' piece, but you can use the first piece to do that also. Cleanup is simple, but a brush may be required occasionally to clean out the little holes. Easy-peasy. Can't think of anything negative to say about it, except it may cause a garlic shortage...😁

big, shiny and impressive
big, heavy, shiny. I say go for it for an easy to clean press. But what I really wanted was a replacement for a 60's press made from aluminum/magnesium unit weighting less than an ounce. So, beautiful, but much more than I wanted. The big pro for this unit is the lack of a hinge making it easy to clean.

Yes! This 'Garlic Press' truly deserves to be defined as 'Oustanding!' It is a well thought-out and well-made piece capable to do a good job providing an excellent service for a long time. Most likely, this 'Garlic Press' is the last press that you will buy. * Two Conditions To Not Ignore * 1.- The 'No Peeling Required' feature is true; but if you are going to press several garlic cloves in two or three sessions, my experience indicates that it is better to peel the cloves in advance. 2.- This 'Garlic Press' does an outstanding job AS LONG AS the user does not have weak hands. Instead, the user must have a strong hand and a good set of muscles to squeeze the garlic cloves through the press. Should you take 1 and 2 into consideration, then, I serious doubt that you make a mistake ordering this particular 'Garlic Press.'

Great little garlic tool with one drawback
This garlic cutter is super handy with its two sides—one for mincing and one for slicing. It works exactly as described: cuts cleanly, feels sturdy, and the storage feature is excellent. It makes prepping garlic so much faster and easier. The only downside is the cleanup. Garlic skins get stuck in the blades, and it can be tricky to get them all out. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to keep in mind. Overall, I’d still recommend it for how well it cuts and how convenient it is to use.

Better than expected
This review focuses on the “fine” mince model. As seen in the product description the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press is comprised of two separate parts. Let's call them the press part and the “mince” part. Both parts of the garlic press I received appear to be cast, forged or machined from a solid piece of stainless steel. I may be wrong about that but if so, the manufacturer did a good job hiding any joints. In either case, this product is fit for use and looks great. I tested the metal with a magnet which barely stuck. Because it only "sort of stuck" implies the metal is derived from a ferrous steel its magnetic attraction is weak because stainless steel is often alloyed with such things as chromium or nickel. The weak magnetic attraction confirmed to my opinion that it is indeed a stainless steel not aluminum or some kind of pot metal which has zero magnetic attraction. The parts have an excellent fit and high gloss finish. Really a beautiful product. But the real question is: Does it work? I tried it and the press did an excellent job squeezing peeled garlic cloves. I did not try to press un-peeled cloves so I cannot comment on that (at this time). I peeled the entire bulb at one sitting and have since learned that if peeled cloves are not used quickly they can be stored for several months in the fridge. The most frequently recommended way I researched is to cover the peeled cloves with wine vinegar in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. The vinegar preserves the cloves which makes the next use of the garlic press all the more simple and easy. Some people have remarked about difficulty squeezing the clove: I can squeeze one clove at a time with one hand … but it is easier to use both hands. Construction is simple yet elegant: The Press part of the handle has notches into which ears on the Mince piece are inserted (see photos). But neither piece has any joint or tight crevice that would allow squeezed elements of the clove to collect and clog. So being able to easily clean this item (completely) was one of the key reasons I was willing to pay more for this product. The fresh/peeled cloves I squeezed came through the mince part cleanly and were scraped off the bottom of the mince part directly into the recipe. There was a bit of the clove left behind inside the mince compartment but that was easily washed away with a hot water rinse and sent down the disposal unit. Nothing left over to smell up the place. The parts were then separated and rinsed with hot water again - this time with a brush, which did a surprisingly good job - there was almost no smell of garlic remaining anywhere on the press ... even after a simple scrub and rinse with nothing more than hot water. That really surprised me. I then washed the item using dish soap and a brush in the mince compartment ... this ensured (to my personal satisfaction) that all the holes in the mince compartment were cleared of any squeezed residue. I dried it off by hand and put it away into my gadget drawer. Conclusion: Aside from its top notch functional capability, its fabulous good looks, and the FDA Certified Food Grade Stainless Steel material ... plus ... a 5 year replacement policy, the features collectively make this item well worth its cost ... in my opinion. Highly Recommended.

Für solche Zwecke ist eine feine Knoblauchpresse entscheidend, da sie den Knoblauch wirklich fein zerdrückt und perfekt zum Sprayen ist. Sono rimasto assolutamente estasiato dalla mia recente acquisizione, lo Schiaccia aglio in acciaio inox. Questo strumento da cucina è veramente un gioco da ragazzi da utilizzare e ha rivoluzionato il mio modo di preparare cibi a base di aglio e zenzero. La cosa che amo di più è che è dotato di due accessori diversi. Questo mi permette di scegliere tra pezzi di aglio più grandi o un trito più fine, a seconda delle mie necessità di cucina. La flessibilità che offre è incredibile e lo rende un utensile da cucina indispensabile. Un altro aspetto che apprezzo molto è la sua capienza. Spesso mi sono ritrovato a dover schiacciare grandi quantità di aglio, e con questo strumento è un piacere. C'est vrais qu'il est cher, mais il est massif et je pense garanti à vie (vu sa qualité). Je l'utilise régulièrement depuis 2-3 semaines ... Un réel plaisir. J'en ai déjà eu un autre il y a bien 20 ans d'ici. Mais sa simplicité ... J'en reviens pas qu'on ne l'aie pas inventé plutôt. Je n'ai utilisé que celui en forme de cœur, pas l'autre encore ... Mais celui en cœur me convient. Par contre, même si on sait enlever facilement tout l'intérieur, il reste quand même de l'aie dans les trous ... Donc j'ai dédier une brosse (de lavage de vaisselle normalement) avec des poils de minimum 3 cm pour aller pousser et récupérer l'aie qui reste coincée. Et ça devient facile de le nettoyer en quelques secondes. Vu son efficacité, je vous avoue que je vais également regarder les autres produits de la marque. On ne sait jamais ...
