I carefully chose this to fit a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery and solar controller for my mobile chicken coop. The lighter weight from it not being metal is a big bonus for this usage. It's certainly not cheap, but it is very high quality. A metal back plate and 3 DIN rails are included. It has already been through heavy rain and did not leak. I would purchase again. I drilled holes for vents with a DC fan mount on both sides for ventilation of the solar controller since I live in Texas. After adding a breaker, ANL fuse, solid state relay, and fuse box, there's still a bit more room for the circuit board I plan on adding later for automation. I highly recommend covering your hands and arms when drilling into this enclosure or you will end up uncomfortable for a while. A face mask wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I needed some weatherproof enclosures to contain a large 25 pound LifePo4, battery and charger, and these worked perfectly. I did have to make a slight modification, but only because I chose the wrong size box. The depth of the box is given as 7 1/2 inches, on the inside, and my batteries for 6 1/2 inches deep. But that’s not all usable because of some bracing that is molded into the back of the box. After removing the metal back plate and DIN rails, which I didn’t need, I had to grind down the bracing on the bottom part of the box in order for my battery to go all the way back. If I hat gotten the next deeper box, that would’ve solved the problem.

The enclosure is nice and as delivered would probably be close enough to watertight for most uses. The backplane studs are actually bolts mounted through the back of the box with plastic spacers. This is probably good enough to keep most moisture out but it's not truly water tight. The enclosure has indents for mounting feet but they are not drilled out. Once they are, there is no feature included to seal the new opening. I used caulking in each and then inserted the bolts to fix this. Also, some of the pictures when I purchased showed the bottom of the box had a plate and gasket for access. There is no such plate and the only way to get wires in/out is to cut holes again making it no longer watertight. This is less of an issue as grommets would work fine on the bottom.

This is one solid box, I am using this on the side of a ski slope and it is holding up great. We closed the box then poured water on the boxes and they did not leak. I will update after this winter with how it's holding up.

I have ordered three of these Vevor boxes now (all different sizes). Each time I have ordered, with the specific delivery estimate being very important to my needs, all three boxes, on the day they were due to arrive, have been delayed. The update provided by Amazon is one of those "could be 3-5 days away" kind of responses. I can see this happening one time, even maybe twice... but now three times? Someone is not reporting stock availability properly or something else is wrong. You guys need to fix this!!!! As far as the box, love them. Excellent fit, finish and quality. The fiberglass-ish construction is much better then pliable plastic and easier to work with then steel and obviously won't corrode. The provided DIN rails and mounting options for the rails is very nice and flexible. Also the way the wall mount cam legs work are terrific. They will allow you to hide the mount behind the box if desired or flare the mount legs out towards the exterior. The mount legs also act as about a 1" stand-off to the surface behind. Which could be nice in certain situations. So if you are on the fence on these vs. a metal NEMA box, don't hesitate. Just don't plan on it showing up anywhere near the promised/estimate availability when you order.

I decided to properly wire my above ground pool this year so I ran underground conduit and needed a box for the pump and other electrical things to plug into. This box is completely waterproof and has plenty of space inside. I was able to fit a full size outlet box along with a splitter.

This is a nice well made electric box with a great price.
