Large Military Ammo Box Watertight Camping Storage

This is an excellent ammo can. I put 50 boxes (1,000 rounds) of 7.62x39 ammo in the can and it only took two rows on the bottom of the can, approximately 3 1/2" of the 14" tall can. I believe this would easily hold close to 4,000 rounds. There are handles attached on each end of the lid, and the entire lid removes. There were no defects, the paint and gasket are in excellent condition. This can makes a standard 50 Cal. can seem small. The only thing i could say (if this were a con) is that the can is heavy, but it needs to be to hold the ammo, so i don't see this as a negative, its built sturdy. Its a great way to store a lot of ammunition.

Perfect for my needs. Not factory new but not junk. Do not load heavy unless you plan on using a hand cart to move it. It's easy to put 2000 rounds in one while it's sitting there on the ground and say it will hold 2000 more no problem. Yes that's how big these are. I would bet they could hold 5000 rounds of 5.56 if packed well.

This can has a huge bulge in the bottom making it unusable. it cannot sit flat on the ground. I cannot recommend this seller because none of this was listed in the description.

Works great for me. I put 2 of my helinox chair ones, 1 single nest hammock, 1 double nest hammock, 1 hammock tarp and 1 hammock mosquito net system with room to spare. It all rides nice and dry in the bed of my truck just in case I have an unexpected need to setup camp somewhere. Box came in great condition and looks like it could survive being ran over by my 3/4ton truck and still have the contents be ok. Might buy another for some other truck items to keep them all fry and modularly organized.

These are huge in comparison to the old fashioned 50 cal ammo can and perfect for storing a fair amount of field equipment, trapping, fishing &, Hunting gear.. I'm going to turn one into a small kitchen box.. still to small fur storing a sleep system..but like all ammo cans they are mouse/racoon /weatherproof. . Unlike the ubiquitous plastic totes. . It only takes one time of getting to your cabin and find your stuff shredded and wreaking of varmint pee, and you will kiss those plastic ttotes good bye for ever..

THE CAN ITSELF IS IN GR8 SHAPE I CAN FIT ALOT OF AMMO IT LOOKS BRAND NEW IT OPENS AND CLOSES NO PROBLEM BUT THE SHIPPING FEE WAS AS EXPENSIVE AS THE ITEM ITSELF SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO TO A LOCAL FIREARMS DEALER

Great box but please take off labels before you spray paint the box.

I read the reviews on this before I bought it the can is in excellent shape having been in the military and knowing the handling of this type of equipment these are in great condition. it is true that they are used but with these there is no rust on the inside and outside very minor discoloration just remember these are a lot larger than 50 cal cans and when full they are going to be weighty recommend seller and product
