My son got this as a gift for his 13-year-old friend. The kid loved it. Put it together quickly and plays with it often!

My grandson was elated to have received this. Not only is it a fun item, but educational as well. Who knows where this could lead to? A 12 year old designing prosthetics.? Very possible.

Great gift for curious kids!
I gifted this and the pinball machine to my 8 year old cousin and he loved both! I helped him build the hand and the process ended up looking more complicated than it actually was. It was a great bonding experience and I enjoyed watching him use it to pick up various household items once we were done. I would say this is an age appropriate gift and a great alternative to screen time.

Pretty advanced for child
Gave it as a gift for an 8 year old boy. This needs to be put together so probably adult involvement needed. If your child really likes to do detailed work and spends time alone - this is the thing for him. My child didn’t know where to start. Don’t even know if they ever used it

My preteen loves the hand. Very functional.
I love the finished product but…… it would never be completed by children and possibly teens. Took me at least two hours to assemble. Directions were clear and all parts fit as they were intended. Hand functioned as expected. Plenty of extra bands for repairs.

Excellent and educational
A lovely afternoon with my son spent building this, and it's now one of my 9 year olds most treasured possessions. It is very fiddly to put together, but the instructions are very clear. I would suggest leaving several hours to put it together. I was impressed with how it held his attention for so long, and he loved when we got something working, such as one of the fingers.

Bought this for my youngest son, we had a blast putting it together. It's a great project to teach a young kid about mechanical engineering.
