Cooks perfectly; cleans easily
We use a Teflon skillet with glass cover to poach excellent eggs in 6 minutes. One reviewer complains that the screw to the handle comes loose. That's exactly what you want, so you can zip off the handle for cleaning. Another reviewer complains the underside rusts. We see no signs of this, and wonder if the reviewer washes and at least air dries the item after each use. The manufacturer's waffle iron is superb, and works right on top of our electric range. Teflon coating is very dense and resistant to scratching, but plastic or wooden tools are best.

it's a keeper.
i took a chance and bought this after using a 3 cupper for 20 years. the eggs, to my surprise, slip out effortlessly - but only if i finger smear with butter. oil tends to bead up, exposing part of the surface, so i wouldn't call this a true non-stick. i was surprised at how difficult it was to scrub the cups clean after using olive oil. the cups easily accommodate large eggs, and extra large if you're real careful. as a bonus, i use this to cook hard boiled eggs - no burned fingers trying to peel them; also quicker and easier to monitor. i recommend this if you don't mind taking the time to smear with butter. 5 stars if the seller were more honest in advertising this as non-stick. update: had this for a year and still going strong. 5 stars if the center knob didn't loosen up - even superglue didn't help. tip: target sells a silicone spatula made by softworks for $9 that fits these cups perfectly. you're welcome. another year later: it got worse, a long, hard scrubbing is required after cooking.; but still great eggs. to experiment i boiught another one; again eggs slip out out effertlessly when new. the non-stick deteriorates after about a dozen uses. i'll buy a new one every year or so.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
I bought this item in February 2024; this review is being submitted in October 2024. First, The Good. I find it makes an incredible poached egg. I usually poach one egg at a time and find 3 minutes and 5 seconds gives me an egg with the amount of runniness I prefer. Also, the screw that is used to hold the handle in place appears to be made of stainless steel. The Bad. The coating is not non-stick, as the seller claims. In the instructions, it is recommended that you coat the cup with butter before placing the egg. I find this works fine. But shame on the seller for claiming it is non-stick! The Ugly. This unit is rusting out excessively. I have included some pictures; please note the coating is starting to bubble on the bottom side of the cups. Also, note the rust forming around the perimeter of the unit along with the rust around the center screw hole. Also, rust starts forming inside each cup at the dimple formed as a stand-off. I use this item almost daily and am not happy that it is rusting so much. In the not-too-distant future, I anticipate it will be unusable because of the rust, not good.

I use it all the time!
It had mixed reviews, but I decided to buy it because I could store it easily. I love it! I do not make traditional poached eggs. I crack an egg into a bowl, whip it around with a fork, add some shredded cheese and some black pepper, and pour the egg into the cup. I do spray with non-stick spray first. I have also found that to prevent sticking you need to remove the eggs immediately after cooking. If I let them sit in the pan they do start trying to stick. I DO NOT use the center handle to remove the hot pan from the hot water. I just take off the skillet lid and use a big plastic spoon to carefully scoop them out onto a plate. I only use the center handle to place the pan into the water prior to cooking, and to remove the pan after it has cooled, but I never touch it while it's hot. We like to put these on English Muffins. To fix the problem of being smaller than the bread, I just place one on the English Muffin and squish them down flatter. They will squish a bit when they are warm, and then they fill out the bread. We add a slice of American cheese (yes, more cheese) and they are yummy. I don't think a true poached egg would squish well but if you pre-whipp them they will squish. I don't care if they are beautiful. We just eat them. This make it so easy to feed all four of us quickly. I don't have a dish washer so I wash it by hand and it cleans up very well. I use it all the time and love it.

Satisfied customer
My husband loves making poached eggs. It fits well into our fry pan with cover and was easy to use. I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of space as I do not need more appliances, that take up precious cabinet space. We have only used once but we were happy with the outcome. My husband enjoys soft and runny and I like my eggs more done. This poacher cooked eggs to everyone’s preference.
