Great Kia flash light, not blinding bright but bright enough!

Our kids love to play with these flashlights. I like how they are not terribly bright so they aren't constantly blinding me, and I like that they have a "warm"color instead of cold blue, which I find annoying in a flashlight. Battery life is pretty good. I am not keen on the three AAA, though. Every time a kid leaves a flashlight on by accident, there goes another three AAAs. This could be mitigated by investing in a bunch of rechargeable AAAs, which I don't have. Also, if the flashlight gets jostled around or dropped, the batteries are prone to shift in their slide-out carrier thing and lose contact with the terminals, causing the light to stop working and triggering the "Daddy, fix this!" response, where I have to take the batteries out, adjust them, and put them back in. Also, it is a little difficult to figure out how the slide-out thing that holds the batteries goes back in, so there is a lot of fiddling involved. Overall, I still like these lights, but I can't wait for my kids to get a little older so I can just buy them some simple single AA flashlights.

My son loves this light. It’s not to bright which helps since loves shining it in people’s eyes. Still burns a little bit, but not as much as the 3,000 lumen one he had before this one. Batteries last a long time as well. He’s been beating the sh out of it and it’s been strong and durable.

I purchased this flashlight for my 4 year old son who is obsessed with flashlights. Yes, flashlights. He kept playing with my high-powered flashlight for power outages so we decided to get him one that was a little more dim and wouldn't lead to accidental blindness for members in the house. We are super impressed with this little thing. It doesn't feel cheap- it feels durable in your hand. The battery life is what makes this flashlight so impressive. It requires a few AA batteries and despite it being left on for days at a time AND despite it having very cheap dollar store batteries, it STILL works. Perfect gift for the kiddos that lay to play pretend, build forts, or just explore with a flashlight around the house!
