MagVent is Fantastic!
I ordered this MagVent from USA, although I live in England, you can’t get anything like this in UK; dryer vents and hose are all the white plastic type and there’s nothing magnetic like this on the market here.Amazon.com was the obvious place to buy this, after finding MagVent whilst searching the internet for something to solve my dryer vent problem.I was so pleased that this item can be shipped internationally.I needed a reliable connection for my tumble dryer at the back of a very tight cupboard.I’d already been using a plastic 90° joint but the parts weren’t very sturdy and there was no way to ensure that it stayed connected. Also, trying to check it, involved many attempts to see it with my phone on the end of a selfie stick (bought for this task). This brilliant MagVent connector arrived today, just over 2 weeks since I ordered, so shipping time was great too.I fitted it straight away without any problems. It was straightforward and as long as the receiving magnetic part is aligned correctly with the hose part, it connects just fine. There is even room for slight misalignment as the hose is slightly flexible.I’m over the moon with the MagVent. I no longer need to worry if my dryer connection has become loose and now I can move the dryer, to clean behind it, as often as I like, without the hassle of trying to line up a loose plastic vent. Just a quick check, required only the once, and I know that my dryer vent connection is secure. This innovative magnetic design is a Godsend!I’m surprised that MagVent aren’t marketed worldwide because they’re such a clever idea and it works!I know that they aren’t cheap but they’re well made and will last a long time. For such a problem solving piece of kit, it’s well worth the price. Even with shipping costs to UK it’s totally worth it!

From an "Enginerd's" POV, it did everything it was supposed to do and did it well!
Finally! Here's a company willing to put out a proper product, for a very reasonable price! The chore of cleaning a dryer duct is not a very exciting one, to say the least AND if put off for too long, it can lead to a dangerous scenario. So this product is quite an essential one.The overall design and quality of the parts are great and are very well crafted. The fit and finish with all the different components were nice. Everything went together perfectly. Installation was very straightforward despite never having even glanced at the included instructions (not recommended for everyone).I would highly recommend this product to everyone for who it would work for. Before writing this review, I had glanced over the lower end ratings for the unit. One needs to take into consideration of the layout of the product. It is not space saving, not in the least bit ( it's putting a 4" duct in typically a 3-1/2" wall ).But as far as making a solid and secure connection from the machine to the duct, it's fantastic. It worked out great for me and I am looking forward to many years of reliable service. As to not make it out to be totally perfect and have some sort of constructive criticism or input, I would like to see some sort of "gasket" for the two mating surfaces. May not need it, but I had to say something. As a person who rarely writes reviews for products, I wrote one for this company for the simple fact that they asked! Cute little piece of paper in the box requesting a few minutes of the customers time. Not too much to ask in my opinion.Enjoy.

Super handy way to install a clothes dryer in tight location
These work exceptionally well especially when dryer connection is behind an enclosure or counter for your dryer. Easy to use and install. They take the drama put of removing and replacing your dryer after vent cleanings, etc.

Super product...
Once the dryer vent hole was moved higher to accommodate the new washtower, hook up was quick and easy with a super magnetic coupling!

Wonderful product, but you must seal it before you can use it!
The MagVent MV-90 is a great idea and it works exactly as advertised and shown in the videos. HOWEVER, the sheet metal seams are not factory sealed and will allow a lot of lint to escape into your laundry room -- especially since this is a pressurized pipe -- UNLESS YOU SEAL THEM YOURSELF, FIRST. This is especially true of the receiver boot; could actually see light through the round-to-straight corners. I simply sealed all joints with clear silicone sealant (using a popsicle stick). Flex-Seal would also be a good/better choice but I didn't have any handy. The gap between the sheet metal rim and flex duct on the inside of the dryer-mount boot is probably okay, but I sealed it anyway, just to be safe. The strong magnetic rings make a tight boot-boot seal, but this is metal on metal. From an engineering perspective, it would be nice if there were an o-ring or some other impervious seal between those metal parts to ensure no lint gets through. Maybe not necessary, but just an engineer thinking.IMPORTANT TIP: many dryers have crimped ends on their vent output pipes. If this is your case, you will need to find a way to fill those crimps or all those tiny gaps between the output pipe end and the flex duct will allow lint to blow back into the inside of your dryer (fire hazard). I used a 3/16" thick x 1" wide strip of neoprene wrapped around the duct end to fill those gaps and then tightened down the 4" hose clamp. I suppose you could also use a layer of Flex-Seal or some other high-temp capable caulk/sealant such as silicone to seal the crimp gaps.Again, the MagVent MV-90 is a great invention, but I wish they would seal it at the factory!

Great product!
Well designed product works exactly as advertized. I did not have duct access issues, as I have full access from the side, but it is still a pain to pull out dryer to clean and then reconnect. We previously had a 4-section telescoping rectangular duct that had a lot of air gaps and created a lot of dust from lint. I also felt like it restricted air flow, as well as having dead cavities inside for lind to build up. The MV-90 allowed me to used rigit 4" duct work for the entire connection that I sealed with aluminum tape, so the interior is smooth and has great air flow.Being a NASA aerospace engineer I have just a few nits: First, I would like to see the MV-90 made of higher gauge metal, as it dents and bends very easily. I also don't like that it slightly reduces the area of the opening, so you do lose a bit of air flow, as it is not true 4." I think they should have given up the extra inch of depth and just had a tight 90 degree bend. I don't like the fact that the flexhose is crimped onto the connect, as this will be difficult to replace should it ever break. Lastly, they should have a smoother, more heavy duty flex material that comes in a trimmable length to suit the actual distance to the wall. The flexhose makes for a rough air flow path right out of the dryer and impedes air flow slightly. Note also, that I was not able to get a solid clamp connect on the flexhose to dryer, as the magnet is quite powerful and stuck to the bend, thus it pulled if off the dryer. I fixed this by putting a bead of adhesive around the connection. These are all nits, and I am delighted with the product. It sure makes moving the dryer for cleaning a lot easier. Oh, and wear gloves when trimming duct work! Be safe. See my pics for the final result. Highly recommended product! Good luck.

A fantastic solution to an age-old problem
I've wrestled with all types of dryer vents over the years, and they've always been klugey affairs, most with long aluminum tubes that bend, dent, break or develop holes. We recently had a clogged drain, and the plumbing guy had to move the dryer to get to that portion of the sewer line. When I realized later that the dryer vent had come loose in the process, I decided to see if there was a better system out there. There was. And this is it.As soon as I found this on Amazon, I knew it was going to be exactly what I needed, and it did not disappoint. It's very well designed and built, solid materials and construction. Nothing flimsy or cheap about it, and they include four drywall anchors for the wall bracket and a hose clamp for attaching the coupler to the dryer. The magnets are as strong as they need to be: strong enough to mate to each other, but not so strong that you can't pull them apart when moving the dryer away from the wall. Some reviewers thought the MagVent is overpriced, but that is nonsense. You get what you pay for, and this product is well worth it. We now have great airflow, the clothes are drying faster, and I never have to deal with the old venting methods ever again. My installation: Our outside wall vent actually sits just behind the washing machine about 18" above the garage floor, so the ducting has to make a hard right as soon as it comes out of the wall. I tore everything out, including the wall vent, and started over. First, I installed a new vent through the outside wall and secured it with screws, then added a 90-degree close elbow and attached that to the wall. I then measured where the outlet sits on our dryer and transferred those dimension to the wall, and secured the 90-degree MagVent mounting bracket to the wall using the four included drywall anchors and screws. I placed the MagVent in its bracket, measured the distance between the MagVent and the close elbow on the wall vent, cut a piece of 4" sheet metal ducting to fit, joined all the pieces and wrapped them with 3M aluminum foil tape, and placed the assembly in the MagVent wall bracket. I then attached the MagVent coupling to the outlet vent on the dryer using the included hose clamp, and pulled the coupler out a little bit to make sure the coupler would be able to reach its mate on the wall.I pushed the dryer back into position and heard the "click" of the two magnetic couplers joining, and visually verified that they were connected. It was like watching a space shuttle docking to the mother ship. Voila!! No more messing with crappy dryer venting. Yay!!! Thank you, MagVent! Highly recommend!

Great replacement vs regular vent tube
Had new cabinets built for the laundry room and the dryer is now enclosed. This solved the issue regarding no crushing or bending the dryer vent behind the machine.Easy to install and works great. Highly recommend.

Efficient
This product is by far a five plus star. My wife was complaining that she had to always run the dryer twice to get the cloths dry. I checked behind the dryer and it wasn’t a direct connection. Extra vent hose behind the dryer. I saw this on Amazon and figured I’d try it. That changed everything, easy to install direct connections, no hose behind the dryer and very neat. The magnets are very strong for a solid connection. Cloths dry like they should, such a great idea by the manufacturer. I’m 100% satisfied.

Don’t use anything else. Fantastic product and great support!
After install, we noticed our clothes dry faster with less lint. Space saving design let us get the dryer close to the wall and connecting the magnetic vent is super easy, just slide it out. In time alone saves 10 minutes anytime you want to move the dryer for maintenance. Will never use any other connection for a dryer, so simple, and surprisingly a lot more efficient.
