Very quiet and smooth, works great, no BS
I am not an expert with these types of motor controllers. I first bought a Synthetos shield but was noisy. When I went to build a second device, they were out of stock so I ended up buying a CNC shield off Amazon with some other motor drivers.. It was a disaster, never worked right, was noisy when it worked, was missing steps, caught fire once, ended up shorting out and blowing up my laptop. Then I bought a set of these. I had to remove the two extra pins for diagnostics, because they were in the way of the CNC shield’s own pins. This was easily achieved by heating up the solder joints, and then pulling out the pins. With that being said, I plugged it directly into the CNC shield, and it was instantly working correctly, with no missed steps, and very quietly.. much quieter than the other motor controllers and much quieter than the G shield. I highly recommend these motor drivers

perfect
Use these to run motors on peristaltic pumps for dosing my saltwater aquarium additives. Works great just using the enable, step and microstepping inputs. Love the heatsinks that come with these, wish I could find those separately to use on other components.

Great silent stepper motor drivers
Great motor drivers, convenient in this form for replacement. I was surprised that they came in full tape and reel, it makes keeping them around easy without worrying about bending legs or anything. They come with heatsinks.

STOP LOOKING! BUY THIS DRIVER! Well worth the money!
A breeze to work with... I purchased a different stepper motor controller, and well......let's say after HOURS of diagnosing why my motor was just buzzing... even breadboarded a 1Hz astable multivibrator circuit to watch the drive pattern, and verifying the motor was wired correctly. All "appeared" to be right, but yet, the motor just buzzed at me. Decided to give this driver a try -- worked right "out of the box" -- connected to my triggering circuit (not the astable multivibrator) and watched the motor spin like expected. Don't go cheap or off-brand -- save yourself the headache... BUY THIS DRIVER! Now, I can refocus my efforts on the real task, not figuring out what the driver is doing.

Great choice for a stepper motor driver
A great choice for a stepper motor driver. They reduce printer noise well and you can use sensorless homing with them.

Works
These little guys work good. Prices seemed to have jumped a little.

Works as expected
No issue with the product

No uart compatibility on older boards
I bought this to upgrade my tmc2208 drives. Sadly I discovered that they have an issue with older boards whereby uart doesn’t function due to the inability to select a uart address. You can potentially get them to work using uart_address = 3 but using different uart pins for each driver.

Good drivers. Thermal shutdown works as expected.
These are excellent drivers, with headers included so there is no need to short out or cut traces for sensorless homing. I did accidentally push them into thermal shutdown, before adding a fan for active cooling - the shutdown and over-temperature warnings work as expected, and likely saved the drivers from long-term damage. If you're using these for 3D printing, save yourself the trouble and turn off StealthChop. Yes, SpreadCycle is noisier. No, the loss of accuracy and speed is not worth the reduction in noise. I ended up with some very noticeable inaccuracy on the Z-axis with StealthChop turned on, and gained a massive amount of torque in my CoreXY system by switching to SpreadCycle there as well. Overall I do think the price is a bit much, but it's not terrible all things considered so I won't knock a star off.

Awesome upgrade for Mega X
Used these to upgrade my Anycubic Mega X. Easy to change out and configure following what others have done on YouTube. Reversing the board connectors are the most challenging part, but if you take your time and be cautious it’s not that difficult. My printer is dead silent now, I just can’t believe why these wouldn’t be stock parts right from the start! It made a good printer into a great printer!

The Silence is golden!
Super smooth stepper movement and so much quieter than the stock ones in an anycubic chiron. (Went from 68 decible noise during printing down to 42 decible!.. the silence is golden!!!) Also have been able to increase my print speed by 20mm/s.. only pain was to set the vref (i didnt install in uart mode) but that was my choice to install that way.. should have upgraded to these on day 1

Amazing stepper driver
Ran in UART for my voron on an octopus. Loves it.

See my review on the Octopus v1.1 board
I was able to merge some configuration files I found from other boards (I am using the Octopus v1.1) to get this to work. I have published my configuration files on the FB group for the Octopus board as questions to support were going unanswered.
