It does the job. Nice and sturdy lock.

These are higher quality than the plastic bodied locks. As others have mentioned, the finish looks worn in spots, which I believe is from the keys rattling against the lock in the box. It's a lock, the finish is going to get scratched up and worn, so I'm not concerned.

First of all, the lock you’re ordering is made by American Lock. It is NOT a Master lock, as the product title may imply. Just wanted to lead with that as I had initial confusion when purchasing this product.I bought this as my hardest practice lock for locksport (alongside an Abus 55/40, a Master 140, and a Master 146D). It has provided a good challenge thus far, and now that I know the binding order I can consistently pick it in under a minute or two. And it has very satisfying feedback.This was my first 1100 and I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future.

I bought this lock to help increase my picking skills based on what I'd heard about it from fellow locksmiths. It arrived only five days after order (with the free shipping!) and the first thing I did was tear it apart to see what the pinning looked like. This is an incredible pick for the money.If you are the type of person who is looking to buy a lock with incredible pick resistance, this lock is hands down one of your best choices at this price point. An Abus Titalium would be close, but those don't tend to have nearly as many security pins in them. I took some pictures to help document exactly what you will receive in your lock, as well as to help those who may not understand what a security pin looks like.If you are uncertain of how a security pin works, I will explain: those ridges bind when someone is attempting to pick open the lock, creating what we in the industry call "a false set." The more ridges, the more false sets and thus, more difficult and time consuming it is to pick. Only one pin in the picture here is a standard (non-security) pin. For comparison, most common locks, especially around this price point, have few to no security pins. I hope this is useful information for anyone considering this lock.

The shackle of this lock is the right size for my Harley-Davidson Sportster and I like the near match red color. Quality seems good.

These American locks are a nice design and they have a few higher security features that makes them harder to pick by the average person a locksmith could get in it in 30 seconds but its much better security compared to the normal master lock. The security pins slows down the picking to a degree. the aluminum body makes the lock much lighter than a steel lock. the shackle doesn't rust easily. Overall it is a nice lock. The packaging isn't much its just a small cardboard box and 3 of the 4 locks I received had scuffs and scratches on the aluminum body it probably would have faired better If it was inside a small plastic sleeve.

Works great no issues. Just don't have it attached to the side of your backpack and break into a sprint of your going to make your arm go numb when it smacks right above your elbow 💀. I did a little research this is the lock you want if you want to slow a thief to the point they either give up or get caught.

Ce American Lock A11006RED, cadenas emblématique du genre "Lock Out", a la particularité d'avoir un cylindre amovible : ce qui est fort pratique quand on veut remplacer une pièce, le nettoyer afin de le faire durer plus longtemps, ou tout simplement adapter sa serrure à une clef que l'on possède déjà (à condition d'avoir la bonne empreinte de clef). Une fois la ance déverrouillée il est possible de dévisser une vis Philips afin d'extraire le cylindre.Les cadenas de ce genre sont utilisés à l'origine dans le milieu de la maintenance afin de verrouiller les tableaux électriques (par exemple) quand les techniciens interviennent. Ceci étant dit cela n'empêche pas de les utiliser pour toute autre application intérieure / extérieur.
