Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Waist Pack

This has been perfect for my vacation! I can put my iPhone X in a slim case in the cell phone pocket, but just barely. However, that pocket doesn't zip or even close. Instead, I use my larger case for my phone and secure my phone in the larger of the two locking zippered compartments. It has enough slots to hold enough credit cards for my trip. It also has a pocket large enough for a passport. However, I'm still unclear as to whether that pocket is RFID-protected or not. In the product video, it doesn't look that way, but in the description, it sounds like it is. I love that the clip to remove the bag from your waist has an extra locking latch plus a thick fabric cover to deter pickpockets. My only gripe is that the latch has to be set to work. It does not automatically go to the locked position when closing the strap around my waist, and I often forget to lock the latch. It takes me two hands to open anything on this bag, so I think it would at least slow down or perhaps deter a pickpocket. This fits my 42" waist without having the end of the belt hang down like some reviewers with smaller waists have mentioned. The water bottle holder is a nice touch, but I haven't used it since I use a Hydroflask. There are four pockets on this bag: 2 main pockets which are both secured with locking zippers, 1 slash pocket to hold your cell phone for easy access (pocket does not have a closure), and one pocket in which there is tucked a mesh water bottle holder and there is no room for anything else in that pocket. I think this is well worth the price. This is a great product!

This waist pack was great for day trips during a tour. It is not a backpack, it's a hands-free substitute for a purse or other small bag. As long as you remember that, you'll be very happy with it. The front compartment is too narrow for a coin purse or even a flat wallet. But the internal pockets for your passport and credit cards, and the internal zippered compartment, substitute nicely for those. (Please note, however, that you can't get 6 credit cards in it nicely - the bottom slot on each side is sewn into the angle of the pack, so the bottom cards would stick up at an angle.) There's even a pen holder. The larger compartment is still small - I put in a sunglasses case, a portable charger, a packet of tissues, and half a sandwich, and that took up most of the space. The internal zippered compartment in this section worked great for the usual assortment of small things - gum, pen, etc. My personal favorite part of the pack turned out to be the open pocket behind the two main zippered compartments. It was big enough to hold my iPhone 6 (regular, not Plus) easily and securely, but still in such an accessible way that I could grab the phone easily for all those quick times I wanted a picture or to look at a map app or to text someone at home, without having to unzip one of the zippered sections. The pack must have been improved since the reviews that complained about the strap hanging down - it now comes with a elastic band around the strap so you can adjust it to your waist with no excess strap hanging down (as long as you're not too small - pay attention to the strap length as described!). I also loved the little holster for a small water bottle - it zips into its own little compartment on the strap when you don't want it, and holds a 1/2 liter plastic bottle perfectly when you do want it. (A taller bottle might be top-heavy). I didn't notice either the holster or the weight of the water, so it wasn't a problem to lug around. A couple of features I didn't remember from the description were caribiner hooks on the zipper pulls so you could fasten them in to the rings when closed, and a locking mechanism for the strap clasp (which is also covered) - all good anti-theft features.

Very well made. Seems to be excellent quality. Very spacious and can hold a lot. It even has a hidden water bottle holder. The zippers pull smoothly and the anti-theft features appear to be very useful. It's just too big for what I need.

I compared this to the equivalent Metro and Vibe models pack by PacSafe and preferred this design. That said, it is not quite as lockable but much faster to work with. What I like about this pack is the pocket layout. It has more configuration possibilities than the PacSafe models. I like the stowable mesh bottle holder, but in practice a water bottle dangles around more than not. The belt clip is a custom-designed thermoplastic clip, but has a switch to lock it. So much easier than PacSafe's complicated interlocking zipper clips. The main zippers have carabiner-stile clips to anchor them to small D-rings on the pack. This does not allow padlocks, but who cares. One small gripe is that the flap that hides the belt clip release switch should sleeve over the clip entirely but does not. Another thing is that the two main zippers could have gone in the same direction to be lockable to one larger D-ring like luggage does. In all, I am very happy with this choice for the casual traveller. It may not as ultra-secure as PacSafe, but so much easier to lock and unlock frequently.

The bag is very durable, buckle is hidden, not at the back side. Sufficient capacity, all the keys and phones are kept.

I like the concept but this is a bit too small for all the things I need when traveling. It’s a tough fit to find something that is small enough to look good and large enough to hold all my essentials. The zippers are reliable and it is light weight. Although this wouldn’t suit my needs and I returned it, it’s a good quality bag for the right person.

I purchased and have gone through several and various brand travel bags. I was looking for a "around the shoulder/chest" bag and this one came in clutch. I used this on my trip to both Spain and Italy and this bag did not disappoint. I love the fact that it has 2 different size pockets WITH locking zippers to prevent "sticky" fingers or even an accident opening. The 3rd pocket is perfect for snacks, receipts and/or a battery. As well as, if you want to use it, the water bottle holder. I think one of the best features is the locking of the strap so no one can walk up and press the button to snatch it. the push forward lock features is a great extra security.

Used all over Italy and Paris including Disney. Lightweight and plenty of room for glasses, wallet, documents and more without feeing bulky. Terrific safety features too!

Tengo sentimientos encontrados con esta riñonera. Tienes bastantes bolsillos y prestaciones super utiles, pero es un poco demasiado pequeña para poder meter lo basico (Mobil, cartera, llaves de casa, llaves del coche, gafas de sol),por lo que la terminé devolviendo. Es una lastima porque la riñonera en si es genial, muy funcional pero simplemente no se adapta a mis necesidades actuales. Si eres muy minimal entonces te ira bien, es super resistente!
