It is not a biography nor gallery of pictures, but a series of passages that offer advice on life and work. It’s a fantastic read and puts into perspective what a genuinely class-act this man was. He lived his life simply and never strayed from his humble roots - yet always speaks of his immense talents with complete modesty. Though much of his advice is straightforward, it’s relevant for anyone thinking of jumping on the business bandwagon, or who simply want to know a little more about Iwata’s highs and lows.

This is a very compact little book that contains Satoru Iwata’s articles for the ‘Iwata Asks’ series. It is not a biography nor gallery of pictures, but a series of passages that offer advice on life and work. It’s a fantastic read and puts into perspective what a genuinely class-act this man was. He lived his life simply and never strayed from his humble roots - yet always speaks of his immense talents with complete modesty. Obrigatório para fãs de videojogos
Iwata é uma figura incontornável no mundo dos videojogos, e a sua simplicidade, criatividade e genuinidade terão, muito provavelmente, salvo a Nintendo de um futuro bem pior. Eu sei que este livro é uma conjugação de posts de um blog, mas mesmo assim a sua sequência, a naturalidade com que aborda algumas questões produzem um documento imprescindível sobre alguém que infelizmente já não se encontra entre nós.

Great Book.
What I like about Ask Iwata is that it talks about the people behind some of Nintendo's games and platforms. I have played on the Nintendo DS and Wii and have also played Super Smash Bros. Melee, Brain Age, and Pokemon Snap. Satoru Iwata helped develop those games I just mentioned. Great book, I am happy with my purchase and had fun reading it.

As an aspiring game developer, super satisfied.
By reading this book I found what I can consider an idol to me. The book gives a well-done recap on how the late Satoru Iwata viewed his work on videogames from every point of view. In my opinion, it gives a defined view on his mindset. For me it was one of my greatest buys in terms of books :)
