DuPont Mold & Mildew Stain Remover for Natural Stone

This product is Amazing! Don’t hesitate to buy!! I used it on my Carrera marble shower and bathroom floor I have polished basketweave marble, which has lots of grout. It took away all mildew and grime. I left it on just a few minutes and used a small Nail brush scrub the grout. It came up like brand new. I have White grout. I have never found a product to use that was safe for my polished marble and the baking soda that was suggested to me just didn’t cut it. The smell is clean and no residue. I followed the directions which said rinse after scrubbing. This product makes me so happy to clean my shower ;) Thank you STONETECH !!! I’m going to try other products from them ❤️

This product worked better than expected. I had some stubborn mildew stains in the stone floor of my shower. I had treated the stains repeated over the past few years with grocery store mildew products like Tile-X. Those products lightened the stains a little, but they were still very noticeable. When I first tried this product, I didn't think it was working better than Tile-X. But I let it sit for most of the day, and eventually it eliminated the deep set mildew stains in the stone. I don't know whether this product has different chemicals in it, or whether it's just thicker and therefore able to stay and work on the stains better. In either case, after one day (and repeated applications), the stains that have resisted me for years are finally gone. The product has a faint bleach smell, so I'm assuming that's the working ingredient. Very easy to use. Just spray, let it set, then rinse. If your stone is sealed, you'll probably have to use a scrubbing product first to remove the sealant layer, then apply this stain remover, then rinse, clean with an everyday stone cleaning product (like Granite Gold Everyday), then reseal.

I have tried multiple products to remove mildew from my travertine shower. This is the first and only product that actually removed it immediately. Follow the instructions to leave the product in place for an extended period before rinsing. Also open a window to allow the smell to escape as it is potent. Worth the wait and smell to problematic issue in the shower. Highly recommended!

Okay, I love this cleaner. It cleans my stone tile way better than anything I have tried. However, almost passed out using it. I’ve cleaned with tons of products and have never had that issue. Maybe I used too much? Definitely have a fan circulating air and open a window!

We live in Southwest Florida where the combination of high heat and humidity makes it ideal for growing mold and mildew. Getting it off natural (unsealed) stone is not as easy as you might think. Most of the products I researched will damage natural stone because of the Ph. People tend to forget that natural stone is porous and will absorb liquids -- and therefore show stains. Trying to use regular grout cleaner on marble will result in the marble edges touching the grout looking like someone buffed the sheen off it. Not good! After looking, researching, and trying several grout cleaning products, I finally found this DuPont Stonetech Mold & Mildew Stain Remover. It is a bit pricey but after several failures I was willing to pay a little more to effectively solve my problem. Our shower stall is composed of travertine walls and floors. Since it is in the corner of our master bath and has almost a floor-to-ceiling glass door, there isn't enough air circulation in it to prevent the formation of mold and mildew. Mold and mildew removal is pretty easy. Simply spray the mixture on your grout lines, wait a few minutes, and then scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or an old toothbrush. It doesn't take a lot of effort although stubborn stains will require a second treatment. The other tool that I've found to be indispensable in cleaning the shower is to use a clothes steamer. Anything that resists two treatments with the DuPont Stonetech product will easily be eliminated by using your clothes steamer. Just hold the steam head very close to the grout and the mold/mildew will disappear. And if there is still evidence of mold/mildew, try using a fine tipped scratch pen/sanding pen. Amazon sells the KTI-70550 for about $7.00. This essentially allows you to sand the offending mold/mildew off the grout while staying on the grout line and avoiding the marble edges. While using this cleaner, make sure that you have proper ventilation and use a mask to avoid breathing in the fumes. That strong smell that reminds you of bleach is sodium hypochlorite -- which is actually BLEACH. So take care to protect yourself and not damage your lungs. After using your clothes steamer for awhile you may decide that you get acceptable results (depending on how bad the mold/mildew is) just by using the steamer and avoiding the fumes.

Possibly the good comments come from people who used it in the grout, but not to clean the the surface or porous parts of the travertine. . In my case, a fatal result, it didn't removed anything. Wasted my money.

This is my 4 bottle I have ordered, while the previous 2 bottles worked fine, the 3 bottle came broken I contacted amazon CS and immediately sent a replacement and reimburse my money, the last bottle I just ordered almost burn my lungs. the pump started to leak while pumping leaving a hedious strong smell all over and the smell spread to almost all of my house! This probably would be my last bottle I will order from this product. Can’t chance it with detective quality of the product causing more harm than good.. starting to look for a better alternative that does the work like this one without killing me! While previous bottles had the smell of chlorine it wasn’t as bad as the last one. update: this product definitely change formula didn’t use to be this strong. I only use it 1 every month and everytime with precautions and everything I end with a headache and smelling the chlorine on my nose and I can even taste it. Although it does the job the strong fumes overtake the performance, I’m considering using plain chlorine at this point as I find it even more stronger than the bleach itself. Other thing I notice is the pump from the bottle when is brand new is not a problem but when you get to half way or a 1/4 of the product the pump gets harder to use and it leaks while you spray so it gets everywhere on your hands and at a short distance from you as it leaks though your gloves (if you are wearing some). So if you are highly sensitive to chemicals or already have a health condition I advise you to stay away from this.

This product works! For years I have been scrubbing my grout and tile trying to get the orange color out of my grout. I have tried so many different products and nothing has worked. I finally came across this one and thought I would try. Look at the left half of the photo. That was after 10 minutes and a rinse. No scrubbing! This is the first time that my tiles have looked clean!

I removed mold and mildew from shower tile grout. Spray on wait 10 minutes and wash off!!! Amazing!

I've tried everything from all the big brands. If it had the word Mold or Mildew on the label, I have bought it and tossed it. But this actually took the gross away from the grout in my shower stall. Not 100% but still visibly cleaner. And no harsh smell - just vaguely bleach-y.

Read all information carefully and then apply. The smell is very powerful is the only drawback. Having said that make sure to turn on any fans that you have in the area. This is the best product that I have found for its purpose. I left it on overnight and all stains and mold were gone. I highly recommend the product. Shop arround because price differs greatly between sellers. This a market place product and there are no returns.

After having mould issues for a few years, Stone Tech Mould removal resolved the problem. We periodically reapply to ensure the mould doesn’t return.
