This is AMAZING!!!!!! I love, love, love this protein powder. I've probably tried about 40-50 different ones, and this is hands down THE BEST! It's super fine and dissolves immediately. It's not pasty, it doesn't clump, it's perfect! It's as fine as talc. You can just put 1 scoop in a bottle with some almond milk, cold brew coffee... shake it up-- and viola! An low-cal, protein packed latte! You don't need to use a blender like many powders. No grainy/gritty taste at all! I put it in all my blended fruit smoothies, pancakes, oatmeal -- everything! It smells like cake mix... but it doesn't have any sugar! None of those nasty tasting sweeteners. All the flavor is coming from whatever your putting it into. I got several of my co-workers hooked on this. They love it too! It's expensive, but highly worth it! It's also the only protein powder I can get my husband to eat/drink. Try some, you won't be disappointed. YUM!!!

If you are looking for a simple whey protein supplement powder, this is it. There is no sweetener, which means no extra chemicals, no sugar (or sugar alcohols), and no lingering aftertaste. For me, it also means no gas, which I experienced with just about every other powder I've tried. I generally mix it with 8 oz water and let it sit for at around 10 minutes (or until I get back from the gym) to get completely smooth. No shaker required. It tastes like weak milk. I'm not going to say it's good, but it's way better than the flavored or sweetened powders I've tried. I'll often add a Nespresso shot. Then it actually tastes great and gives you an high protein pick-me-up, but without the unpronounceable additives.

I started with the vanilla, which is delicious. I also felt better, because I don't get enough protein. Then I started realizing the stevia gives me horrible insomnia, which immediately stopped when I ran out. Then I tried the original, no flavor, no stevia flavor. It's not bad like some people say. Doesn't taste like a milkshake, but does not really have flavor. Can easily be added to smoothies if you can't handle throwing it in some water real quick like I tend to do.

I have tried a few other unflavored whey proteins and this is by far the best I've tried. For me, the criteria for whey protein is pretty simple: 1) Needs to mix well - this one mixes very well with a spoon and a little water (always mixes better with water than anything else), 2) Needs to not taste bad - ok, it doesn't need to taste GOOD, but it shouldn't taste bad. This one actually tastes GOOD! I think because it's smooth with a neutral taste, but there is vanilla in the ingredients to give it just a hint of vanilla. Not strong, but just enough that it tastes pleasant. 3) Needs not to have a lot of crazy ingredients - Ok, this has some soy lecithin. For me, I don't care. Almost everything has soy lecithin. But it doesn't have any sucralose or anything else. 4) Not too expensive - this one is on par (cost per gram of protein) as most of the other protein powders. UPDATE: I downgraded my rating of this. I tried it again and it was hard to stomach alone. It's still a high quality protein, but I don't think it's worth the extra price. Now I use NOW Protein.

Have been using this product for years, however, the last batch (purchased from Amazon) has caused a revolt in my family...it is weak and has an unpalatable flavor. The product is nearly gone and my family will not drink any more of it. Further, I will not purchase this product from any source again until I hear from BlueBonnet letting me know what has happened. It turns out that my family objected to the Original Flavor taste and there was no product contamination or degradation. Did not know that the Original Flavor flavor existed because over all the years we used only the French Vanilla flavor (our previous vendors did not carry the Original Flavor). The Amazon 2.2 # container comes as the Original Flavor only. The Original Flavor has a terrible taste and I have been instructed to ensure that the Original Flavor is never purchased again. The attraction to the 2.2# size was its price, about $4 less than the 2# container. It was not worth the savings in my case. However, I am seeking a better price, either from a different vendor or a different product. All-in-all, Bluebonnet handled the process well. The product is made in the USA from milk provided by USA herds. They offered to replace the 2.2# container with more Original Flavor product. The offer was withdrawn when it was determined that the taste was the problem and not a defective product, and that we wanted nothing more to do with the Original Flavor. My familial insurrection was caused by a purchasing error, not a bad product. Have changed the review to four stars for THE FRENCH VANILLA FLAVOR, the Original Flavor is still a 1 at best.
