Will this fit in my Diaper genie?

Yes. The Fresh Pod (the plastic holder for the Fresh Wave Pack) will fit in a Diaper Genie. It comes with an adhesive backing and can be stuck to the Diaper Genie's sides, or to the inside of the lid/top. --Fresh Wave

Is the scent too strong?

No, I would say the original fragrance is pretty potent but this one is fairly light. I prefer it better. We use this in our Diaper genie.

Will this eliminate the odor of dog poop that sits for a week in a trash can in the garage...in the heat? My garage smells horrible!

The pod will help odors in the trash can itself, however to remove odors from the garage, we recommend the Fresh Wave Gel. Each Gel works up to 200 sq feet and will remove any airborne odors that may be lingering from the feces!

Where can I buy additional refills?

Amazon.com has the refills. I know this because I just purchased some.
