This little plane is my favorite
This little plane is the perfect choice for anyone wanting to try flying an rc airplane. The stabilization is outstanding!!! I can fly this thing in fairly windy conditions no problem. The tricky part is keeping it in range because if you fly with the wind it can get away from you quickly. I'm sure I came close to losing it once. It got so far I couldn't tell what the orientation was. Luckily I was able to point it in the right direction and it had plenty of power to fly against the wind back to me. It had to have been close to 4 or 500yds. I think it's rated for 300yds. I don't know but I could hardly see it. The three stabilization modes allow you to change the level of control from full stabilization for beginners to intermediate with less assistance and expert with no assistance giving you full control. This plane is pretty tough too. The foam is dense and doesn't break easily. The landing gear is decent. I've been practicing take offs and landings on pavement. I get close to 20min of flight time on one battery!!! That's incredible!!! I do have one thing that I don't like and that is the propeller break away feature. They pop off way too easy and they are kind of expensive. $4 each yikes!!! Other than that I highly recommend this plane. It's small enough to fly in a small park or field. Easy to fly with ability to advance your skills. Durable foam easily repaired with foam safe ca glue. I fly mine every chance I get. I've had it for about three months with no major issues. Update....I noticed the paint was starting to flake off so I decided to repaint it. I thought it would look good with some flames on the wings. My girlfriend painted them for me. She did an outstanding job. I told her that it looks so good I don't want to fly it. I don't want to mess it up. So I will most likely retire this one and get another one. I may do a last flight video so we can see it in action. Thanks babe awesome flames!!

Great beginner plane
Initial take off was hard for it on the ground as the wheels don't role the greatest and get stuck periodically. Broke first propeller on the concrete cause of wheels. Then I figured out I can just lightly throw it like a paper plane and works great. I have hit so many trees and few other things and it just keeps on going. Had to glue the wheel brackets back on and have had few holes from the tree branches I've took out of it and filled the whole with glue and still air worthy. Glad I am learning with this little guy to fly my big expensive jet . Lands ok on concrete. ATON OF FUN. Thanks will be buying all the rest of the varieties

Nice plane with a few fixable issues
I am enjoying this plane. The bad: the site stated the plane required (2) 9v batteries; so I ordered extra batteries and a charger at a cost of $20+. No the plane came with one 7.4 battery, so I don't need the 9v batteries or charger. So I ordered extra 7.4v batteries (don't order a stronger battery; the bigger size can be difficult to fit into the compartment). The plane does not have an on/off switch: even my cheap starter plane had an on/off switch. I had to figure out unspoken things like why the elevator did not move much - it moves fine in the beginner or intermediate mode. And like other planes, the turning is really sensitive and can screw you up. Also, the specs list the plane at 980 grams (maybe the total shipping package), but the plane only weighs 165 grams. So, I did not have to register the plane with the FAA as I did. And I am breaking props landing in the grass, so you need to order extras. The good: it has a beeper that activates when the plane goes down to help you find it. The larger 500mm wingspan size also helps and helps it to combat the wind, because at 165 grams you will fight the wind. It's easier to see when flying too. You will regret flying this plane at over 4mph wind plus gusts even with the strong engine. It's a fun good-looking plane and I don't regret buying it. My next plane will be a little bigger however and probably under 250 grams. Bigger planes - over 250 grams - don't come complete with all you need. But one really needs to gain experience with planes like this one. I have yet to try a loop-d-loop, but soon. The seller needs to fix these items and then it deserves a five star. Oh, Rufus is fun to talk too, even if it is a computer!!

Awesome, fun, easy
This is the cheapest, easiest plane to fly, that youโll find. I love aviation and I always wanted an RC plane- I spent some time at my local rc airfield about 15 years ago and tried learning but I knew it would cost me a fortune fixing planes while trying to learn how to fly them. This is so easy, right out of the box in beginner/intermediate mode. 15min flight times and very forgiving. I might buy another one. ***edit*** A few days of flying and I found an issue. While pulling a high speed climb the battery lid snapped and the battery fell out of the plane. The plane absorbed the impact and didnโt hurt it all. I had to design and 3D print a replacement. I still plan on buying another one in this series but it seem the F4u battery lid is different then the others so it may have an inherent flaw in manufacturing. If you have a 3D printer Iโll post the STL on thingiverse in the event someone else has the same issue.

Prop saver will be the end of your plane
I donโt want to leave a bad review because when it worked during the two times I took it out, it was great.. as far as handling goes. Itโs not bad in minor wind for its size. Itโs fast and zippy. Sadly, the prop saver wonโt keep the prop on. You can change the piece connected to the motor, because sometimes that piece breaks, and by sometimes, I mean once per outing.. and I fly in a field with fluffy soft grass. Iโve made no hard landings. That piece is $3.99 for 2 at a hobby store. The prop is $3.99 for one. After gently changing the saver piece a couple of times, the motor no longer runs at speed and makes noise. Iโm assuming itโs because of some motor damage from pulling on shaft.. WE ALL KNOW WHERE THIS THING IS MADE.. so expect thy kind of quality. The motor is not accessible and not replaceable. Itโs sad that a plane that works so well has suck garbage components. Iโd happily pay twice as much for top end electronics and an easily maintainable plane. Anyway.. I got it on sale for $80. Thatโs $40 per outing.. ouch!! I would have bought at least 3 more that I wanted really bad, until this experience. Oh well. Iโll just get a big P51 from the hobby store with retractable landing gear for $350. You def get what you pay for. Letโs hope a legit company picks up this design and gives a warranty.

Fun, fast & durable
This is a pretty good little plane in my opinion. It flies great and it's pretty easy to do fun tricks without smashing it into the ground. Also, I definitely appreciate the option change the gyro, from having it on to being in full control of the plane. Now I'm not good at flying without the gyro yet, still need a bit of practice there but the ability to turn it on midflight to help avoid a major crash is pretty nice. BUT don't think that the gyro by itself will prevent crashing, it simply helps keep the plane level, you still have a lot of control and need to keep said control of the plane. Speaking of, I've accidentally smashed this plane into the ground real hard and real fast with it ending up with barely a scratch on it, ready to get back into the air(well after you put the prop back on). In my opinion this plane is great if you want to just have fun or practice flying rc planes without gyro assistance, it can take a hit. And if something does break(as what tends to happen in this hobby) don't let that discourage you, the fix can be as simple as foam safe super glue. One last thing, even though the booklet that comes with it suggest you don't fly in the wind(and maybe don't if you don't know anything about how flying works or you're trying to learn how to fly without gyro), you can totally take this thing into the wind, the planes motor has the power and you have more than enough authority of the control surfaces to fly through the wind with ease. Just make sure you don't let the plane get too far when it has a tailwind, and beware of gust when flying near the ground, they can be a one-way trip for your plane barreling into it. But yeah overall, really good plane!

Great little flyer.
New guy to the RC airplane world. I watched several videos on you tube in reference to this plane. Ease of use for a beginner, control, size and stability are what lead me to it. I was also able to get it on sale which helped some if I crashed it, which I have. The battery life is great in my opinion for such a small battery roughly around 10 minutes. Being able to use beginner mode is great and helps build my confidence while flying. Although the brushless motor will get up and help you speed across the sky if you want to. Make sure you have enough room to fly, you can take off from the ground or hand launch. The details on the aircraft are great. If youโre new to RC airplanes I would definitely suggest watching videos if your teaching yourself. Hand eye coordination is a must. It is great fun to start you out in the hobby. Once I get good with this one Iโm going to move up to the bigger ones.

Great plane for beginners or intermediate pilots
Let me start by saying this little guy is pretty much indestructible. I've flown on beginner and mid mode. Beginner mode is very stable, but limits turning angles. Mid is perfect. It allows you to take steep turns in any direction, climb, crash, whatever have you. I've flown in places I shouldn't... I've hit powerlines, which knocked off the propeller AND seared off the tail wing. I'll also recommend clear foamless gorilla glue, which does an excellent job repairing any part of this plane. I've broken and effectively fixed the nose, a wing, tail, both landing gears, and the list is continuing to grow while accumulating hours upon hours of flight time. The only downside is that the propellers do break easily. Landing is difficult due to its light weight. I recommend buying a couple four-packs of extras. I also tried the three-blade propeller, which is much more durable, but you sacrifice some speed and it has a little difficulty fighting the wind. (Yes, I've been flying the little fella in pretty strong winds lol). The expert flight mode, I'll switch on every once in a while, lose stability, do a barrel roll, then switch back to mid for recovering before I crash. Switching between modes is quick and seamless in-flight by the way! Great purchase and when I do eventually lose it in a tree too small to climb but too high to recover, I'll be saddened but will very quickly order a replacement. Yours truly, Maverick.
