5 yrs ago I inherited a Napoleon propane gas grill. Every gas grill I've owned, the push-button ignitor is the first thing to burn out/let go, but finding Napoleon OEM replacement parts isn't easy, or cheap, & apparently my grill model is outdated. But thankfully, always-dependable Amazon.com sells gas grill ignitors. I simply matched the shape, measurements, & # of outlets of my OEM part with pictures/descriptions online, & selected the reasonably-priced Hongso IBC 330 Spark Generator.Installation was headache-free straight-forward, & contrary to other reviews, I did NOT get "zapped" from the ignitor button after installation. Now my grill fires up easily again with the touch of a button. Glad I bought this ignitor!

I replaced my push button ignitor with this spark generator. No more snapping 4 or 5 times or more to light the gas. I'm using it on a Thermos C22G model (461633514) two burner grill made by Char-Broil. I bought the grill at Fleet Farm, only a week old. This spark generator will fit in the ignitor hole 3/4 inch after you remove the old ignitor, disconnect the female wire first. (You can use your old electrode) I opened up the round female wire (goes to electrode on burner) with a scratch awl a bit to accommodate the small rectangular male plug in the back of the spark generator, fits snug. I put in the AAA battery, it works like a dream! Be sure NOT TO adjust (set) your electrode to close to the burner the spark will be too weak. I set mine to 3/16 inch, works great!

Easy 5min install. I only had a two burner grill, so I grounded the third pole to the frame. That seems to work fine. The only thing I wish is that there was a way to connect the grill's original remote button near the gas controls to this starter. The original location for my spark generator is on the side of my grill, so I have to lean over an press the button on this unit now. I might mod the grill in the future to move he spark generator up top where the old starter button is. For $25 less than the OEM spark generator I am happy.

Bought this to replace the original spark generator on my 4 1/2 year old Nexgrill propane grill from Home Depot, which suddenly stopped working. Getting the old generator out and this one in took a bit of work, due to the design of the grill, not the generator. After connecting the wires and putting in a new battery, the grill started immediately. Has worked flawlessly every time.

ordered this replacement, because of price, works great. be aware the 3 burner igniter is wider than the 2 burner model and the button hole to mount is larger than the original. I used a unibit to enlarge the hole. if space is tight, where your igniter is located stay with a 2 igniter model. other than that, works great and I can add extra igniter to furthest burner.

The igniter was delayed in shipping and that was just the start of my problems. I installed it and used it the first time, but had issues with it then, it was not wanting to ignite consistently. I just recently tried using it for the second time and nothing, no spark, deader than a door nail. The battery checks out OK, so the igniter has died after using one time. Do not waste your money on this, not worth anything.

There is nothing wrong with this product and delivery was excellent and quick. The problem were the details. I search for compatibility with my grill, and even though it said it would my grill it was too big.
