Fantastic 2.5GB switch at a great price!
I replaced four of my 1Gb switches with these TrendNet 2.5Gb 8 8-port switches. My internet is 2.5Gb so I wanted to take advantage of the speed on the devices that could exceed 1Gbps. After installation, I did a speed test and all my capable devices are now getting maximum throughput. Swapping the old 1Gbps switches for the new 2.5Gbps switches was basically plug-and-play. I put the new switches on top of the old ones. Then, one by one, I pulled the Ethernet cables out of the old switch and plugged them into the new one. Everything just worked out of the gate. The Trendnet switches are competitively priced and work as advertised. Five stars met all expectations

Plug-and-Play Performance — Rock Solid for All My Devices
I bought the TRENDnet 8-Port 2.5G switch along with some Cat8 Ethernet cables, and it’s been excellent from the start. It worked right out of the box — no setup or configuration needed. I’ve got 8 different devices connected to it, including security cameras, streaming devices, and my gaming setup, and everything runs smooth with zero lag or glitches. The build quality is solid, and I really appreciate that it’s fanless — completely silent in my setup. The 2.5G speed is a great upgrade over standard gigabit, especially since it works with existing Cat5e and above cabling. The switch has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without even blinking. If you’re looking to expand your wired network with faster speeds and hassle-free setup, this switch is a great choice. Highly recommend it for both home and small office use.

Full Speed, No Issues
Although 2.5G switches are still a bit expensive, this one is priced well and is works great with no issues. Testing the throughput showed the full 2.5G with no dips or drops. It up/down links to other switches fine. There is no hum or coil whine. It only gets slightly warm, not anywhere near as hot as a cable gateway or Wifi router. The construction is solid with a metal housing and both mounting holes and rubber feet on the bottom. There are no flashy colors or logos. One thing I particularly like is that the network, LED, and power plug are on the same side. Cheaper switches have the power plug on the front, which would making cabling look messy. 9/10

Non-blocking backplane
I replaced two gigabit switches with two of these which I use to extend my wired network in my home office. I had recently upgraded to a gigabit internet service and found that my internal network was bottle necked. I did not want to completely rewire the network so I purchased these 2.5 Gbit switches in hopes that they would resolve the issue. They did and I was able to reuse the existing cat5e cable. I am now averaging between 600Mbps to 920Mbps (depending on time of day and usage load) for both download and upload. Latency is increased due to the number of switches between my main PC and the router but still averages between 2 and 7 ms. The faster switches help to reduce that latency.

Works but...
It's doing exactly what it is supposed to do, unmanaged, and is able to be hit at least two ways with 270MB/s transfer speeds between my computer, and server. It replaced an old netgear 1gig 16 port I've been 'meh' to replace, until it died. My only massive complaint about this is the power connector, it should be illegal to have the prongs so that you have to plug it in up and down the length of a standard power bar, I had to fish out 2 prong extension cable just to plug into the power bar, /then/ plug the stupid thing into the extension cord! Why couldn't it have been a sideways prong?! You literally take 4 or more spots up on a power bar you *self censored* and it looks ugly. Sideways is king, if it's not just a 2 prong cable.

Worked well, satisfied
Worked nicely ootb. The cables have a nice “click” feeling when connecting to it. There are various pictures of this model floating around , one showing front panel is wide , and there’s extra space on the side. I was unsure, as i needed to place this is a tiny space - the *correct* picture is the one showing here - where the front panel and power inlet are condensed, and there not much space left on the sides

Works well, upgrading from a TRENDnet 1GB 8-port switch
I bought this 2.5GB to upgrade a 1GB TRENDnet 8-port switch. This brand has worked flawlessly for me. Unlike most other brands where the AC power cord plugs into the front on the side with the lights, the TRENDnet has the AC plug in the back so I can plug it in at the edge of the desk. That way I can see the lights and the power plug is hidden in the back and the power cord is off the desk. Even though only 2/8 cables are actually using the 2.5GB access, this was a worthwhile upgrade for future proofing and my other 1GB switch (8 years old) is now a handy backup switch.

2.5Gbps switch which just works - and that's perfect
dont know what is "gaming" about it. gives proper 2.5Gbps per port, keeps barely warm, silent.

Works great. Recommend.
Been using it for 3 weeks now without issues. Network speeds went from ~80MB/s through my old 1000gbps switch to ~220MB/s.

Great value 2.5Gbps Switch - UK consumers beware the power adapter is US not UK plug style.
Easy to install, does exactly what it says on the tin. Lost a star for me because the power adapter was US not UK style and the product description does not mention this (amazon.co.UK <---) so I've had to purchase an adapter. What is extra odd is that the adapter has that 'hot swappable' plug feature but only the American plugin was included.
