The Faerytale Oracle: An Enchanted Oracle of Initiation, Mystery & Destiny

The best oracle deck I've bought so far. The box is heavy cardboard. The cards are smaller than most of my other oracle cards and the cardstock is sturdy but very easy to shuffle. The art is, of course, exquisite. The guidebook is the most detailed I've ever read. The first part reads like a combination novel/textbook, explaining the history of "faerytales," the themes behind them and why certain stories were selected and others left out. These are the real fairy tales, not the rewritten ones so popular today where the villain becomes the hero. The villain gets his or her due in these fairy tales, and the original meanings of the stories are preserved. I have to tell you that I was badly spooked when I did my first reading, a past/present/future reading, because not only did the cards describe my past and present in excruciating detail, the name of the fairy tale on the first card is my middle name.

The only thing I can say is if you have never had a Oracle deck by Lucy Cavendish and Jasmine Beckett Griffith you are missing out on this magical journey I love all their decks they have done together although I need to buy two more to have the complete collection they are my favorite decks!!

I honestly don't know how to express how much I love this oracle. It is a very, very deep-- surprisingly deep-- oracle in terms of both the artwork and the guidebook. It makes no bones about the fears, challenges, heartaches, betrayals, deceptions, and other difficulties along life's path, and uses analogies and wisdoms from fairy tales in an extremely effective way to help us make meaning of our lives. I have a second copy in my cart which I will order soon because I never want to be without this deck. Honestly, it's that good.

Pretty deck but every card was stuck together. Fortunately they came apart without damage.

Exquisite deck! Gorgeous artwork printed on high quality, heavy stock, with a beautiful glossy finish. Cards are nicely sized at 5.5" x 3.75". Highly recommend. Especially, if you are a fan of Jasmine Becket-Griffith's work. Each is a piece of art. I love that they included such a varied mix of Faerytales. I love all of Lucy & Jasmine's decks, but, this is one of my new favorites!

The pictures are beautiful, but I had to peel the cards apart when I opened them--extremely sticky. It lifted the outer color on the backs of 2 cards, forming a bubble. Minus one star because of this. I hope the next time I take them out that won't happen again. But the deck is large, which I like, and the images and written information resonates with me.

I bought this deck for my birthday at a local book store. They caught my eye because of the beautiful artwork and my love for faerytales! The guide book is great, if you can learn what the stories are about it will be easier to give a more personal reading. These cards are very sturdy and shuffle well. If you have a thing for Faerytales, i would get this deck!

Love this deck. Standard cardstock not thick or thin. The art is beautiful and I adore the guidebook gives you a little bit of the fairy tale and then a lesson or message they have gotten from the story. Absolutely a great addition to my collection

I usually am not a big fan of Lucy's oracles because their art change too much among cards. I have been thinking about get some of her oracles joining Griffith's artwork but none of them was really keeping my attention then I decided to wait for this one and I'm not disappointed at all! Blue Angel card stock quality, amazing artwork, concise, this is a 45 cards oracle deck perfect for shadow work. It speaks about the darkness in fairy tales. Highly recommended.

Sou fã da autora Lucy Cavendish e da ilustradora Jasmine Becket-Griffith. Esse é o 5° deck que tenho delas com essas ilustrações maravilhosas e não me arrependo. Para quem comprou o tarô que utiliza as imagens de Jasmine Beck-Griffith pode achar que as imagens desses decks são repetidas no tarô. Vale lembrar que a autora do tarô não é Lucy Cavendish, por isso algumas imagens estão repetidas lá, porque é outra autora. Esses decks sem as palavras de Lucy Cavendish não seriam a mesma coisa. O livro guia dela faz toda a diferença. Tenho que dizer que fiquei surpresa com esse deck em particular, superou as minhas expectativas. Esse deck é extremamente certeiro. É incrível como as palavras se encaixam. O tema é contos de fadas (e está em inglês). Cada carta possui referência a um conto. São os contos mais clássicos que conhecemos (europeus). O livro não foca em recontar os contos, Lucy apenas faz uma breve menção deles e foca nas mensagens que são bem profundas e longas. A qualidade da caixa e das cartas são ótimas. Mas para quem comprou as versões mais atualizadas de Alice Oracle ou Les Vampire Oracle, está acostumado com uma carta grossa, durinha e mate. Não é o caso do The Faerytale Oracle, essa versão é aquela do tipo mais antiga onde as cartas são de boa qualidade mas parecem foto e brilham bastante. Foi entregue antes do prazo e em boas condições.

J'adore les contes de fées et le travail de Jasmine Becket-Griffith alors les deux réunis c'est très réussi. Il y a des contes connus et d'autres pas, beaucoup de contes des frères Grimm ainsi qu'Andersen et plusieurs autres auteurs ainsi que des contes de pays nordique par exemple....C'est très intéressant et les cartes sont vraiment parfaites grandes solides un magnifique oracle beau et juste.

Questo oracolo è stupendo, ed è esattamente come mi aspettavo. Ho dato due stelle perchè mi è stato venduto come nuovo ma non lo era. La scatole non era impacchettata nella plastica, come altri mazzi della stessa creatrice, le carte non erano in ordine, e c'era addirittura una scritta dentro il libriccino, per fortuna era in lapis e l' ho potuta cancellare.
