Works well for a doggie door!
This is a brush style thin strip insulation that fits the groove on the sides of the flap on a doggie door. Itโs designed to slide in the groove from the top which is not possible unless you took the door apart. But it works if you have a pointed round tool like they show at the bottom of their description page. Once I dug out the old strip bit by bit, I was able to insert the new strip the same way but I had to also use a small head thin screwdriver and push on both sides of the strip to get it in there. The backing is stiff and helps hold it in, just be patient and push both sides in all the way to the finish. No glue is needed. It worked well and our flap is tight once again! No more leaks or flies.

No adhesive but you can add one
I bought this to add weatherstripping to the cat door. Now, this doesn't come with adhesive. The ones that do are bad. This one is pretty solid. So i got this one, and the 3m double sided tape https://a.co/d/aMusGnu. I first straightened it and bent the corners with a heat gun. Have to go real easy as the bristles melt. I used a pedal with the heat gun to pulse it as i was going over the strip. Then i put the tape on the strip, holding it in the vise. Trimmed the excess tape and attached it to the door. So far so good. If it falls off i may glue it with glue. Everything has to be warm and dry for the tape to hold. Tape is pretty strong. The strip does shed bristles a little bit, but very minimal and mostly if you pull on them. So i did not put it on the bottom of the door where it would rub on the cat. Don't want microplastics on my cat. I also cauterized the cut ends with a lighter.

Great product: has center fin, decent density
Summary from my experience, as someone whoโs installed hundreds of weatherstripping products for various applications: โข good pile, wouldnโt mind ~slightly~ higher density, but Iโd say itโs definitely sufficient โข DOES contain center polypropylene fin (this is GOOD as it acts as an airtight barrier - not many others Iโve come across on Amazon have this) โข flexible backing (this being good or bad depends on what you need, in my case it was good, but you decide for your application) Now, for the sake of future viewers, to address all the unnecessary negative reviews others wrote due to it not having adhesive: 1) it clearly shows thereโs no adhesive 2) stop writing bad reviews because you donโt know how to use a product and youโre in over your head, or because you didnโt check description. 3) adhesive weatherstrip is NOT a long term solution. You will not find any remotely decent product that uses adhesive as the main retention for its weatherstrip. Instead, this type of weatherstrip slides into a channel where it is mechanically retained and will stay as such until the weatherstrip itself wears out. I just wanted to clear this up for future readers, as I think itโs unfortunate when I finally find a good product, but is flooded with negative reviews from people who simply donโt actually know how to use the product.

Perfect for a sliding glass door
There is enough product in one packet to redo one sliding door. The install wasn't difficult. From what I learned, it's a good idea to replace this seal every 7 years or so. Anyhow, this product worked fine and seemed equivalent to what was original or came installed with door.

Not a good for older US-made windows
6mm != 1/4" This stuff is of decent quality. But the 6mm x 6mm is a bit too shy of 1/4" and the strip doesn't fit well in grooves for 1/4" weatherstrip. It falls out easily and is hard to pinch to keep it from sliding around.

Perfect replacement
This replaced the worn seal perfectly. Measure your gap and add about 1/8" or 3mm and order that size. Fits nicely and seals well. Seems to be of good quality. Mine had no adhesive on the backing (some will, check yours first) and was simply held in place by a small crimp in the channel which was opened by a steel puddy knife tapped down the channel with a small hammer (gently) to open it. The top and bottom of the windows were like this. The vertical portions were held in place by interference fit with the horizontal ones on the top and bottom. If they're loose in the channel and slide easily (mine fit nice and snug but could be slid in by hand to install) simply add a small drop of glue at the end. It will take very little. Good product.

The product was as advertised and I found it quite easy to install
I used the product to replace the existing draught excluder that was damaged. It was quite easy to install and works very well. The only down side was the price and the length wasn't long enough to do a complete patio door. So I had to buy two packs.
