Q: The delivery period of my location shows 8 days. how long can bacteria live? best before date of after packing ?

A properly made scoby with starter tea can live a long time, even in worst case scenario, atleast a couple of months without any issues. No need to worry for 8 days, scoby will be fine. If you are worried about scoby being slow, then do a first ferment for longer than usual like 15 days, for it to regain its speed.
