The handle part is metal which makes it so it is very sturdy and doesn’t bend during brushing which makes the soft bristles more effective. I have very sensitive gums and this doesn’t irritate them at all. So it’s great for fellow gingivitis sufferers. The shape of the handle also gives great control, better than a traditional shape in my opinion. It fits perfectly against your thumb. Not sure what makes the brush “whitening” but that isn’t my goal. I don’t feel so bad about throwing away a brush head any more. I like that. One thing that may be bad if you are giving it to kids, is that the end of the handle is a bit pointed. This may be an issue in some scenarios. But overall, I do believe I’ve finally found my perfect toothbrush. If you’re hesitating because of the price, don’t. It’s totally worth it.

The weight and feel is great but the replacements are not cheap.

I wanted a metal toothbrush to match my metal safety razor and this was the only toothbrush I could find. I am actually very happy with my purchase and they both look so elegant together. I used to have an electric toothbrush but I got rid of it because I grew annoyed by the loud noise it made and I realized I didn't actually need an electric toothbrush. This manual one works perfectly, uses far less plastic, has a very durable and sturdy build quality, has replaceable tips, and looks absolutely beautiful. Just get it, it's a toothbrush. What more is there to say?

I love almost everything about this toothbrush. I like the way it fits my hand. Easier to grasp with the way it's designed; plus handle is just a better quality than ordinary toothbrushes. The brush itself could be a little stiffer; but I feel it really gets my teeth clean which is really the bottom line. It says to change the brush head every 3 months; but after two it's pretty worn. Colgate has a winner here 👏

Extremely happy with this purchase when on-sale. Not sure on the value for money of them normally as the refills cost more than most entire toothbrushes despite the point being plastic and monetary savings since you're only buying the heads... I bought them on sale though so got the handles and extra heads for less than either by themselves. Highly recommend at that level as these work and feel better than any other manual toothbrushes I've used in the past so stock up when on-sale and skip buying refills until another sale.

Okay ! less waste, hygienic, good looking? Yeah sure. Perfect size they only have this particular size / shape with this system. Comfortable gripping and rinses clean. Remember to change head every 3 to 4 months it's way less expensive for refills too!

The heads are sturdy, actually they are adult proof when it comes to removing them... It's pretty stout... Now the only complaint is that the bristles are rougher than your typical/average plastic toothbrush. But that isn't a problem for me. I would definitely buy this toothbrush again if mine magically vanished to Narnia or something

This toothbrush is by far the best I’ve used ! The bristles on the brush aren’t too stiff or too soft, and are gentle on sensitive teeth/gums. The base is comfortable in the hand, has a little weight to it (which is nice) opposed to a lightweight cheap plastic. I find it very convenient you can change and replace the heads at any time and keep your base for as long as you’d like ! This toothbrush is way better than regular plastic toothbrushes, and will last you much longer; I would definitely recommend.

I didn't get this to save on the amount of plastic I waste, the amount of plastic in one toothbrush is negligible compared to other ways we can cut back. Having said that, it just feels NICE to hold and use, there's something about it that makes it feel worthwhile. It's unfortunate to have to pay a premium for the heads (which are still plastic and end up in the trash), so by spending a lot more for this, you're saving the landfills from a thin piece of plastic that's 3/4th the lengths of a toothbrush every few months or however often you replace your brush, so if you're into this for the environmental angle, don't let this massive company shame you into overpaying for toothbrushes because they'll still continue to manufacture just as many plastic ones, including the bulky battery ones, and many other very wasteful practices, not to mention their mouthwash bottles which have more plastic than several toothbrushes, I'd imagine... Having said that, it's a solid product, I like it, it's just annoying when the most wasteful companies on the planet try to shame individual consumers into overpaying for something that's literally not going to move the needle at all. Also, what about once we account for the extra molds and tools that have to be built to make the different style of handle, the extra machines to manufacture a metal toothbrush handle, the extra shipping weight, etc etc etc... Let's not pretend this is somehow the green environmental option, it's just a cool toothbrush that feels nice to use, a little piece of luxury for a few extra bucks, I'll take it, it's a 5 stars, with a caveat for my lil rant .

Reseña después de 5 meses de uso, mango metálico como se especifica, el paquete que yo compré contiene 2 repuestos de la parte de plástico que se ajusta al mango, no he tenido la necesidad de cambiar la parte de plástico del cepillo aunque se recomienda hacerlo cada 6 meses. Si buscas eso es 100% recomendable. Cabe señalar que las cerdas son firmes y si estás acostumbrado a cerdas suaves, puede ser incómodo, desconozco si hay reemplazos con otra configuración de cerdas.

Really wanted to like this product since it helps reduce waste, however, I am finding that it doesn’t compare to my regular brushes. Not even 1 week into using it and the bristles have started loosing shape – as if I’d been using it for way longer; and my teeth don’t feel as clean as they do with my preferred brand. Unfortunately, the bristles are the most important part of a toothbrush (for me). The rest of the brush’s design is nice – handle is sturdy and ergonomic, tongue scraper is effective and a welcomed feature. Will have to go back to my old brushes which defeats the purpose of this product.
