Not recommend to buy this wall outlet. Hansgrohe should not be a low end product finishing brand but end up with such shower hose connection to wall outlet, the is 1/3 of thread exposed, not as photo shown on Amazon/Hansgrohe website. It's completely misleading result. I tried to contact Hansgrohe customer service, he told me if it's not leaking it should be ok. Continue to be a prestige brand, not only it functions well, not only the durability and it should also cover the good aesthetic look. Once eveything were installed into the wall, it's too late to know such ugly connection at the end.

I knew it wasn't metal, that's okay. It's well-made and looks elegant. The only thing is, you have to be precise with the length of 1/2" nipple sticking out from the wall. It is 5/8 or it wouldn't fit. You need to insert the rubber gasket through the nipple then screw on the 1/2 female elbow flush to the wall. Any gap and the trim cover won't snap on the rubber gasket.. Unfortunately, sizes of nipples come only in 1/2" increments . I had to saw off 1/4" for proper fit. So there is not much give. The design needs to be improved, the cover trim needs at least 1/4 to 3/8" more elbow room, no pun intended. Otherwise it looks clean and neat once it is properly installed.

We purchased the wall outlet along with other Hansgrohe shower products for our new bathroom construction. They are excellent quality and good construction. All parts work together seamlessly and are easy to install.They look amazing and function very well. I am pleased with the purchase.
