Game is confirmed February 13th, there is a special New3DS bundle that is currently Gamestop exclusive and is released the same day. New 3DS is not required to play this game so you can purchase the base game only if you wish.

Will the online only be with friends or can you play with strangers aswell?

You can set up private rooms for your friends to join, or join public rooms and play with strangers.

Can you play this game solo?

Yes, multiplayer is completely optional even in the online portion of the game.

Will a release day delivery option be added for this edition of the game?

This is what i would also like to know. I will have a 3 day weekend and hope to get the game no later than Saturday. Otherwise I'll have to go to a store and buy the game.
