This book is easy-reading as a gripping story, however, also fantastically helpful in giving an insight into the challenges of everyday life for someone with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) which is a little known part of the autistic spectrum. As the parent of a child with this same condition, I can relate to around 80% of the things that happen in this book, even down to the exact words used. The other 20% that I don't relate to so strongly I put down to the fact that every child is unique, but even these bits I enjoyed reading, as it gave me a great insight into the challenges other autistic children face that are different to my own child's.
