Secured my Inner tie rod / steering rack boots
I replaced the inner tie rods and originally the boots were held on with zip ties and were not very secure. These clips and tool worked great to firmly lock the protective boots into place.

This kit saved me a ton of money and trouble!
My “new” (to me) SUV failed inspection due to a leaking CV joint boot. I bought a new half shaft and was getting ready to go through the hassle of replacing the shaft when I saw this kit on Amazon. I watched several videos before I decided to try this kit over replacing the shaft. When I removed the old clamp, I saw that the problem was that whoever rebuilt the prior cv joint had not seated the boot in the groove correctly before installing the clamp. Of course, I added cv joint grease before reseating the boot and installing the new clamp that came with the kit. It was a breeze, and I didn’t even have to remove the wheel; I just jacked the car, threw a Jack stand underneath and chocked the rear wheel for safety, and five to ten minutes later I had a properly sealed cv joint boot with a new clamp! Of course, it then sailed through inspection and hasn’t leaked since. I’ve been working on my own cars for decades, but this kit is so easy to use, I’d say that anyone could do it. I’ve always figured that I could buy the tools to repair my cars for less than the cost of the labor and the parts markups, and I’d end up with the tools for future use and the satisfaction of doing the jobs myself. The savings from using this kit over paying someone to replace the half shaft would easily pay for some CV joint grease, a good floor jack, a couple of jack stands, and wheel chocks. On top of that, you’d be left with several spare clamps for future use, although they’re not that commonly needed. I highly recommend this kit!

Excellent quality and value
Get the kit as the jaws work perfectly on the included bands, but not perfectly on another brand of band

Atv boot repair it’s a must!
I do a lot of atv repairs not just on my bikes but friends and from word of mouth people. Obviously replacing entire shafts is lots less of a mess and usually faster. But after having done so many that the half shaft pile was becoming a mountain of you will 95% of them just neeeded boots replaced after pulling the trigger on this crimp tool. I was able to start chipping away at the mountain of half shaft and turning a profit in the process. Have done at least 3 dozen and sold almost all of them with only one coming back due to being smashed / cut by a rock.
