Good Idea but badly executed
I bought this product because I live in a high rise building so Im forced to use training pads. Unfortunately, she would rip the pad into tiny pieces. The productโs idea is good but ai would have to give it a thumbs down as she always manages to pull the pads out & also chew the black locks on the side.

No complaints
It works as it intends to. It's light weight, easy to use, and works with the standard Amazon pads. The only issue that I have is that the clasps are made of cheap plastic, my puppy chewed on it for a few mins and now the shape is bent and it no longer clicks shut. I could still put the pad in, just that it's not secure anymore. But you get what you paid for!

Poor design, cheap quality
The rubber grips that are there to keep it from moving simply don't work. I simply couldn't use this anymore after it was causing more problems than it was solving once it was slid through the #2 on multiple occasions. I would have returned it but it was cheap enough plastic my small dog damage it in the first day. Not recommended

It works okay IF....
This product works okay so long as a you do NOT have a puppy who is absolutely determined to rip the pee pad out of this holder. The first couple of days it was okay, but then my puppy figured out that if he chewed and pulled hard enough that he could get the training pad out of it and still rip the pads to pieces. Considering I bought this to try to avoid the pee pad being ripped to pieces.. it didn't work out so well for us. After this failed the test against my puppy I just stopped using training pads altogether. If you have a puppy with anxiety or a puppy who is an avid chewer I would not suggest this. If you have a puppy or older dog/animal that is not all that interested in chewing his pee pads apart then I highly recommend this product.

Holds pee pads well
I'm trying to pee pad train my dog on a patio for one reason: We live in an apartment with no yard in a city that sometimes gets long-lasting ice storms that sometimes take weeks to thaw, and my dog's has leg deformities that make walking in snow and ice painful and dangerous. He has realized that he can't handle the snow and ice and refuses to go out in it at all. I don't plan to use training pads regularly, but if and when those storms happen, I want him to know that it's okay for him to go on pads out on the patio so he doesn't have to feel pain. And, training pads are a lot easier to just wrap up and throw away than all of those wild outdoor potty contraptions. So far, my dog is too concerned with being a good boy to actually use pee pads. And, since we were working on this on a 3rd-floor patio that is subject to wind, I needed a way to keep the pads secure enough that they wouldn't fly away during training. I thought this product would make it obvious to him that this is a potty and that it's okay to use.First, this training pad holder does exactly what it claims to--it holds pee pads into place. If my dog were to scratch the pad, I'm sure it would come loose, but that's not really his vibe. It seems like it would be easy to clean after removing a training pad, as there are few ridges. For a smaller lightweight dog, I can tell he feels uneasy standing on this. The lip on the edges is pretty wide, which is probably why this product can secure the pads so well, but it does create an awkward barrier that the dog has to step over to reach the pad. It has little feet on the bottom to keep it in place, but that makes it bow down a tiny amount when he steps on it. It's not a huge bowing, but it does make him look nervous because he feels something moving below him. This is not the product's fault... I can't imagine there's a solution to a problem like that. I actually feel like this product looks far sturdier than others I've seen!I do wish this product laid more flat and didn't have such a tall lip around the edges, but I understand its purpose. I can see this working great for a puppy or extremely lightweight dog (maybe ~8 lbs?) who is working on potty training, but sadly, it's not working out for my adult dog who doesn't understand that it's a potty or that it's safe to stand on.
