Dealer put in the wrong license plate lights which caused the dashboard light to come on the light was dim, so after searching I found this LED license plate light on Amazon and it was perfect match for my car, the dashboard warning light went out and the new lights were bright it was very simple and easy to install, I recommend this product

2013 VW Passat... Very easy install. No instructions, but I figured it out pretty easy. No more errors on the dash. VERY BRIGHT!

I installed these on my ‘13 Jetta Sportwagen. They plugged right in without any issue. I did feel like the connector was not a real tight fit, so I added a little electrical tape around it as insurance. Probably wasn’t needed, but I did it anyway. They are super bright. Very bright for a license plate light. I would definitely purchase these again.

These fit my 2012 sportwagen. They are a little loose in the hole and the resister installation was a little less than desirable. There is no instructions in the box and I assumed I needed to stab the pins in the back side of the connector. Works fine. Would be nice if they included a plug “harness” like some of the other error free lights. Over all, would buy again. The work and my error light is gone. For the price/quality I’d expect these to not last a long time. We will see

Instructions do not come with lights. Box that the lights come in has a QR code if you have a reader on your phone, and a email address to go to for the instructions. All it shows is a video that shows you how to take the old light out using a flat screwdriver DON'T DO IT use something else that won't scratch the paint. The next they say to you is unplug the old light and plug the new one in. What they don't show you is where the wires that come with the lights go into the light. As shown in my picture. As you have two, one with the rectifier and the other is for the power. I had to go online plus call them to get the information which still was terrible. They sent me a picture showing the rectifier on end where the metal clip is and the power on the other. I said that the wires will go two ways and I said the wires are black and white and which way do they go. They said after you plug them in and if it doesn't work switch the black and white wires. MAKE SURE THE LIGHTS WORK BEFORE YOU SNAP THEM IN. These are universal lights for a lot of different cars. On my car I didn't need the power set of wires and my plug plugged right in. You still have to use the rectifier so your dashboard light that shows if you have a bad bulb doesn't light up. Just take baby steps. The lights are bright.

2013 VW Jetta 2.5 All good easy enough to install I did blow a fuse located inside under the driver side from top left 7th over to the right 5amp. My only other possible concern was I noticed a rattle in trunk so I went to twist the wires to eliminate the noise and the purple end pieces where extremely hot after a short drive.

These are just the right amount of brightness. At first I tried LED lights in my stock lens assembly, but I got the error code in my dash. I returned those and ordered these and no error code. Don't waste your time trying what I did, just get these. It'll save you time in the long run. iJDMTOY is great to deal with.
