Elisha, pop sensation and queen of hearts from Goa, married a rich businessman from Czech and suddenly disappears after few years. The story is about Alara searching for Elisha and in the process meeting Aarav and Ricky among others in Goa, but at the end, each of them realize they are searching for something more than a missing person. And that is exactly what the title translates into — You live only once. Alara and Ricky steal the show with their strong characterizations and while Aarav starts off well, his character does not grow even though he is one of the three protagonists. Aarav lacks the layers that the other two have, may be since his life does not have as much pain and heart break as the other two go through. Goa is the next major character is this story, as Goa and majorly Palolem beach are more than a backdrop and location; they are the soul of the book. The author has done an amazing job in vividly describing the locations to transport reader to a different world. This is the second outing of the author Stuti after her highly successful debut OTOR and I personally found her writing has grown exponentially. While the first half is perfect with unique characters, their struggles, in the middle of the picturesque Goa, the actual intent of finding Elisha slowly takes a backseat in the second half, as the characters and their internal turmoil take up the story. The author weaves magic with her words, as the thoughts of Alara and Ricky are pure bliss; their thoughts and emotions are compelling. The quotes at the start of each chapter are interesting; Aarva’s standup acts though impressive could have been better presented. Pick this one for an enigmatic story that is coming-of-age filled with music, fun, love and much more. You live only once is an experience that every reader should drown in at least once.

A Beautifully Moving Read – Ricky Will Stay With Me Forever I just finished this book, and honestly, while many stories can be written in similar ways, what truly made this one unforgettable for me was Ricky. His presence in the story made all the difference. I loved him in every role mentor, lover, inspiration, and finally, as a husband. He felt so real and deeply human that he stayed with me long after I closed the book. This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I’m genuinely grateful to her. While reading, there were so many moments when it felt like the book was speaking directly to me reminding me to chase my dreams and, most importantly, to love myself unapologetically. The book doesn’t shy away from heavy themes like suicide and societal expectations, and it handles them with sensitivity and honesty. The message is powerful and incredibly timely. It left me thinking deeply, feeling understood, and most of all feeling inspired. I’ve got more books by this author sitting in my TBR pile, and after this one, I’m moving them straight to the top. Thank you for writing such meaningful stories. Your words truly inspire.

This was my first novel from Stuti , and I'm out of words for the praise for her. She has written beautifully, explained that love can defy anything and everything that is stopping you. Also Ricky, tha character he was so flawless i could literally picture him being so savvy , and the closure she gave to the story totally worth it , all three lives that were stuck somewhere in their lives in the first half of the book all got to their happy places and with the character's storyline author very beautifully gave meaning to how one can learn to live life. There was grief, sorrow, happines, meaning,purpose, and an eternal love for Elisha with beautiful quotes and poems that were sung by Alara and the stand-up part of Aarav , author wrote story, poem and stand-up also a remarkable crafted piece of art. Will surely check other books from her 9.5/10

Really good book for everyone

This book is about living, about acceptance, about love and more than anything it is about finding yourself🫵🏻 Alara is a passionate singer, who is in search of her long lost mother 'Elisha'. Ricky, a beach shack owner in Goa, who is unexpectedly connected to Elisha. And Aarav, a struggling stand up comedian, who is fighting his own demons. And together they take on this journey to seek the truth behind Elisha's disappearance. But who knew that on this voyage they would learn a lot more than just 'truth' The writing style is simple and articulative. The description of the beauty of Goa is so authentic that it is going to take you right on the beach shack therein ⛱️ It's a pleasant read.

In and all in still in awe of this book. I felt this book at each and every stage of its, starting from a daughter who is in search of her mother ending to a daughter fulfilling her mother's dreams of finishing her incomplete albums, Aarav feeling the heartbreak and deciding to not fall in love again and instantly falling in love with Alara at first heard of her song. 🌟: 5/5 for this wonderful read ❤❤❤

You Only Live Once by Stuti Changle begins with an eye catching cover that immediately drew me in. The story follows three very different individuals whose lives intersect in Goa during the search for a missing singer, but the real focus lies in their inner struggles and personal growth. The themes of identity, ambition, regret, and belonging are handled with simplicity and emotional honesty.

Definately a good read! It's a brilliant and charming book written in a heartwarming style.
