Does what it’s supposed to do
I’m a Registered Nurse, and also recently recovering from Covid-19. Fortunately, I had a “mild” case meaning I never had to go to the hospital, but I was still really sick for about 2 weeks. I wanted a way to monitor my O2 sats at home in the event I took a turn for the worse. This personal pulse ox device appears to work well and does what it’s supposed to do. My heart rate was registering as low on the device, so I checked my pulse manually and it was actually correct. It’s a helpful device to have at home for anyone suffering with Covid-19, COPD, asthma, CF, heart failure, or any other illness that can cause your oxygen saturations to run low. It is NOT, however, a replacement for seeing your doctor when necessary. It’s simply another monitoring device like a blood pressure monitor.

seems OK !
Oxygen level matched what a nurse's unit measured, 95% - would hope her unit, that looks about the same, is of a professional quality.. but who knows - may be that hers was from china direct and cheaper :) Dropped to 93% after chain smoking a couple of cigarettes. Says best accuracy when holding still and finger isn't wet or cold, so I guess clamp it on your finger and rest hand on something before clicking the power button. 2% accuracy on a dry, normal body temperature finger. 2 heart beats or 2% accuracy, which ever is larger. Suitable for use on 4years old and up. Women need to clean off their fingernail paints. Clean the unit with a hospital type alcohol wipe is the recommended way. Amount of ambient light can affect its accuracy, so the darker the room the more accurate I guess. Don't look at its laser light as it can hurt your eyes. Screen rotates but waveform only seems to work on the default direction which is to wear it on your right hand. Hold the button in long to dim or brighten the display .. only one step, Dim or Bright. Pay attention to the engraved +/- battery directions when installing the batteries, which it says lasts 20 hours of run time. Auto off 5 seconds after removing finger. Comes with a pair of lesser value AAA imported batteries, says it works with rechargeable batteries too. Says; Remove batteries or they will leak if not used within 30 days. Nice little carrying/storage case with Velcro flap & has a necklace you can hang it from if you want to attach the necklace to either the case or the tool itself which has a tiny hole for it. Has a belt loop on the backside of the case, looks like it is maybe slightly larger in height than a standard sized males blue jeans belt loop, sturdy looking & nearly the full width of the case. Paid 14.90 and now see 3 days later its 14.50 - get it while its a cheaper day maybe, ha. Amazon and their forever changing prices, crazy.

The screen on it is super bright and you can even change the orientation of ...
My dad has COPD and his doctor just put him on oxygen because his levels fall down to the 60's and 70's often. He wanted a pulse oximeter to check it throughout the day and the ones at the pharmacys and Walmart are $30+. I found this one for half the price and it works perfectly. It's small, comes with a carrying pouch and even a lanyard. The screen on it is super bright and you can even change the orientation of the screen when you're using it. It gives him his pulse and oxygen level and that's basically all he needed. He's happy with my purchase because he saved $30!

Be aware - display fades over time
Purchased this in 2018. It may well have saved my wife's life, she was very sick, but she's a stoic - "I'll just fight it on my own". Her pulseox ranged from 88 to 92! We went to emergency, they had no immediate idea what it was - after extended labs, it turned out she had metapneumovirus, which is common in children, but not so much in older folks! (her pulseox in emergency department registered 93 when they first hooked her up) So, I'm very thankful I had this device and convinced my wife to seek treatment. However, since that time, the device has been used infrequently. I recently got it out and used it - after putting new batteries in it - and the display is quite faded. It is still readable, but I'd say in another three years it will not be. Is that a reasonable complaint, for a remarkable little device purchased for fourteen bucks a few years back? I dunno. I initially started this review with the overall rating at three stars. But - as I said, it may have saved my wife's life, so I can't in good conscience just say it's 'average', so I'm making it four stars. Just be aware, you'll eventually, probably, need to replace it. But even at current price it's a great backup safety device to have around, particularly as you get older...

Hold your breath and test
Works well for heart rate and oxy, update speed seems good and oxy levels seem like they could be accurate. Powers on and the mode can be changed with only one button. This simplicity makes a difference. Unit isn't large either. Some casual research has shown that it works as well as more expensive units. I held my breath and tested, very interesting exercise.

Seems Great
Seems to work well. I can't speak to accuracy really since it's not like I had anything to test it against, but it worked. It nicely adjusts it's screen orientation when you turn it on it's side (like a phone does). Clearly readable. Decently made.

Like it!
It works good but after placing the batteries in it. The cover will not go back on it. I can still use it without the cover. Not sure why the cover won’t latch right.
