Amazing earpiece. I work in corrections where it can get very loud. These earpieces allow me to hear everything in the dorm but still hear the radio. They are not the most comfortable but they are not uncomfortable either. They can be remolded pretty easily. Definitely worth the money. Get someone to help you mold them and follow the directions.

I need to buy another pair because mine fell off after work when I was clocking out. These things are a game changer if your ears get sore and irritated from those other bare bones ear pieces, like mine do. Since it’s moldable, and remold-able, definitely buy these. Less friction and a snug fit. Edit: the 2nd plug (the one with the logo) is meant for the other ear, for isolation if you need to block out the outside world sounds (not optimal in my field of work, but could be useful to someone)

I was interested in trying this earpiece because its the only one that offered a 'custom' mold which I was hoping would (a) keep the piece in my ear better and (b) improve sound quality. It was very effective in keeping the piece in my ear, but my ear felt occluded and it definitely impacted my ability to hear surrounding noise. I found I would always turn my head to orient my free ear when talking to people. My biggest issue though was related to comfort. This isn't a cheap earpiece and as others have mentioned the tough thermoplastic material is hard! My ear started feeling sore after a couple hours. I probably could have 'gutted through it' but found other options that were more comfortable. I REALLY wanted to love it, and I don't hate it - in fact I keep in my pocket as a back up, but it isn't my preferred piece. Also, I found it a challenge to mold in my ear. I got it after a few tries but its certainly isn't a thing of beauty! My thumbprint is indelibly marked into the outer aspect where I kept it pushed in while cooling and it looks misshapen, although that's just an aesthetic issue, which doesn't impact sound quality or usability. I didn't find that it increased the sound quality over any of the other ear pieces I had, although that's probably more a function of the headset used. But still, I was hoping that by putting the tube right in my ear it might have increased the perceived volume a bit. Alas, that was not the case. All in all, not a bad choice, but not for me. Would try again if they offered one that used a softer plastic.

I waited to try this ear piece insert and ended up getting it last month. The molding of the ear piece was easy, just get some boiling water and drop it in a mug. Let it cool and when you insert it in your ear, push down gently, and slide your finger across to smooth it out. It’s not going to be perfect but it gets rid of those finger print lines a little more. In my experience with this, it works but it’s not great. Thinking the “Awareness” option would give me some sort of open hearing while wearing it but it does not. It felt like I just put a plug in my ear. Being in the LEO line of field made it a bit too risky to keep wearing it. So I had to switch it out with a different one. The value for the earpiece does seem overpriced. Hearing quality through the radio itself is great but I give the awareness aspect of it a 2/10. I’ve read reviews stating that it was the most comfortable thing but to tell you the truth, it’s a lie. I’m at the halfway mark of it being a a good product and a bad one.

I purchased these to add to an acoustic tube ear piece for a Midland two way radio that I use officiating high school football. I’ve only had the opportunity to use it once since I received it, but it worked perfectly! I bought the awareness tip so I could still hear the coaches politely (HAHA) discussing why my judgement was wrong on a particular play. In all seriousness the awareness tip still allows me to hear the ambient sound that I need to hear like a coach requesting time out or the whistle of a fellow official. As I said, I’ve only had one scrimmage since I received the earpiece, but it held in place perfectly and was not uncomfortable at all. I was running and sweating with no adverse effect as to the earpiece falling out. I’m looking forward to using it all season and many more to come. I followed the directions to the letter and used an electric kettle to boil the water. Using this method I had no trouble getting the earpiece molded to my ear on the first try.

I'll admit admitted I had some trepidation about the molding process. Take a little more time in the hot water than you might think. And you should be careful that it's not too hot when you stick it in your ear. Several different sizes of earbud are great. On the other hand, they indicate you should replace them, but there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to purchase replacements....? Should also be noted that you can use these different sized earbuds without the fancy molded earpiece. Just another option, which you may want to go with? The fancy molded part makes the tube stick out from your ear in a manner that can feel a little awkward. You get used to it. I'm getting a little older and I've developed tinnitus. So when I'm in loud environments after a while, I can't hear my radio hardly at all. So this really does help a lot. Updated January 18. I have revised my product review to one star after having an opportunity to use these in the field on and off for several weeks. Really, they don't work so well. The connection sticks out too far from your ear, so it's not exactly easy to keep it in. It tends to wanna get pulled out. Also, the connection point to the part that goes in your ear keeps popping out. I end up spending more time fiddling with it than using it. I would not advise wasting your money here.

The best moldable earpiece without going to a professional audiologist and paying big money. No complaints at all!

These custom-molded earpieces are a game-changer for long shifts. Once molded properly, they fit perfectly and stay secure without discomfort. The audio clarity through the acoustic tube is solid, and the +Awareness model still lets in enough ambient sound to stay alert. Be prepared for a little trial and error when molding them the first time, but once done, they perform great. Ideal for security work or any job requiring reliable comms.

These are awesome! Very easy to mould and sit in the ear fantastically. I love that you get 2 different ear tip types, and 3 sizes of each so it'll fit any ear. My only disappointment is that it only comes with 1 noise block and 1 active listening block. Would be nice if I could use these as normal earplugs when not using as radio without having to buy more accessories.

Working in security for 9 plus years and be through multiple headsets and various different ear tips, this is by far a standout. Working 12 hour shifts in a variety of quiet and loud environments it’s been great, better sound quality that your standard silicone mushroom shape tip. Only consideration where the headset tip fits in to the mould it is quite small. I’m not sure if it would fit a large tip.
