I used this product to replace the very old and tattered original screening along the bottom of our pool enclosure. There is a lower and upper section along each side of the pool enclosure and we used the pet resistant product across the bottom and will use regular screening for the top section. This is a thicker screen than your usual. That requires you to do a couple of extra steps to make it work and go in easier. One thing to do is to put the screening and the spline in the sun so it is more pliable and easier to work with. Another thing that makes it easier is running the spline tool through the channel and over the screen before attempting to insert the spline. Flat spline is necessary for larger panels and I used an ever so slightly smaller gauge to accommodate the thicker screen. I also used painter's tape (Frogtape) across the top of each panel to hold it in place until I could get the first run of spline in. I've used this type of screen before and it is strong enough that my cats would have to be able to use a very sharp knife to slice it! We are using this not only to keep the cats inside (FL=hawks and coyotes) but also to keep critters out. Our pool enclosure is approximately 35ft x 20ft with 3 sides screened (the house itself being the 4th side. I am almost done with this part of the project and it looks like I will have some leftover for a few window screens as well. I bought this "used" (probably shipped to someone and returned unopened) and saved us a bundle! I haven't found any defects and am very happy with this product's quality! Even during the quarantine it arrived on time and in fine condition...Yay Amazon! You rock!

This pet screen is even better than what I purchased last year from another company whose product comes in black (not "charcoal") and is considerably more costly. I am SO HAPPY with this purchase and so is the contractor who hung and stapled it to our porch frame! He said it's the easiest screening he's ever worked with. This screening is different than what we had him install last year. When it's cut, you can see tiny fibers that are not seen on the cut edge of the other company's pet screen. Both look the same to me otherwise and both are super strong, but ADFORS has made their new screen material very different in that it is FIRE RESISTANT. I think they make the only fire resistant screening at this time, which is very important to me since we live in a forest on a mountainside with limited access. We are at high risk for a wild fire, despite being deemed "Fire Wise!" If embers ever come floating by or are blown at us on a windy day when there's a fire nearby, I don't want our screen porch to catch fire easily and spread it to our house. We would probably be doomed to lose our home if a wild fire spread near us, but it still gives me some peace of mind to know we selected screens that won't make things a lot worse. I went to their website to learn more and came away very impressed! I took a chance and bought a 100' roll to have extra on hand bc one was for sale in Very Good Condition at $100 savings. It was in Excellent Condition in my opinion. VERY SATISFIED! Great company. Great product.

The Saint-Gobain ADFORS Pet Screen is perfect for households with pets. The 48" x 100' roll is great for replacing or upgrading window and door screens. It’s made of durable material that withstands scratching and biting, ensuring long-lasting protection. The charcoal color offers a clean, unobtrusive look while providing excellent visibility and airflow. A great solution for pet owners looking to keep their screens intact. Highly recommend!

Awesome! Keeps bugs out and cats in! My cats have climbed this screen and you cant even see where their claws went in.

All and all it really is great screening material, but there are two drawbacks. The screening installed easily, easier than fiberglass or aluminium because it is flexible enough to not tear if you slip while installing. The cats claws do not get hooked in this screening nearly as badly as they do with other screen material. They look really nice installed. Here is the draw backs. If it rains the hold a lot of water and you cannot see out of them until they dry out some. They do create some visual distortion when looking through them. Maybe a plus, maybe a detractor, this depends on you. They do create a little bit of a tinting effect so they block some of the light but that can make the space a little more private.
