Will this work for a colostomy or thicker output?

Works best on watery, high-liquid output. Thicker (colostomy) output has less liquid, so expect less difference — use less product. Compatible with one- and two-piece pouches, including urostomy. If output is fully formed, this isn't the right fit.

One level teaspoon per approximately 1.5 cups of liquid output. Measure it — don't pour from the jar. Add to an empty or freshly emptied pouch. Leftover dry granules mean you used more than your output needed.

Will it clog my pouch, filter, or toilet?

Clogging usually traces to granules landing on the filter when poured rather than spooned in. Spoon it in rather than pouring, and dispose of the gelled contents in the trash — do not flush.

Does it have a scent?

No added fragrance. That's deliberate — the goal is to remove what causes the odor rather than layer a scent over it, since many people in this category are tired of perfumed products.

Does it make the pouch heavier?

The output weighs what it weighs — gelling it doesn't add meaningful weight, but it does change how that weight behaves. Instead of shifting as you move, you get a stable mass that stays put.
