They're bent after a single use, but not too bent to use again. I'd guess I’m going to get 2-3 hats out of the smaller sizes before they're trashed. I’m a tight knitter, so someone else might get more use out of them. I’ve used size 1.5 and 7 so far, each for one hat. Both sets are warped, so the heavier ones won't hold up any better. Tips are nice and sharp for getting into splitty yarn. All in all, I’ll replace these with higher quality needles when I’m ready, but I’m not at all disappointed by these because they were priced accurately for the quality. The set comes with a nice little ruler with metric and US sizes on it. TSA did not bother me when I flew with these.

No dents, all seem light and durable. Pointed and slippery, just what I need. No burs. Size is a bit iffy, but it's okay considering how cheap they are. No burrs or other manufacturing defects. Exactly what I needed.

The knitting needles are exactly what I expected.

I bought this set of double pointed knitting needles (DPNs) for a project I had acquired while traveling. Since I already have many quality needles at home, I didn't want to repurchase a set I already had. This was intended to be used for the short term. The delivery was on time and each size (set of 5) came with a plastic sleeve. Given the price, less than $18 for eleven sizes, I wasn't expecting vintage Boye or Bates durability and quality, but this set was a little disappointing. I read many reviews and compared this with others before selecting this one so I was prepared for a size discrepancy, but I wasn't prepared for dented needles. Two of the 4.5 mm needles were dented. Using the plastic knitting needle gauge that came with the set, I measured all of the needles and found that the 3.5 mm, 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm were all slightly bigger than expected, and much smaller than the next size up. Since the majority of the project needed 4.5 mm and the set was delivered in the early afternoon, I went to the local craft store and bought a set for a little more than $4 after taxes. I'm contemplating returning this, but like I said I knew not to expect the best, but after all, I paid full price for this (no coupon or lightning deal). I haven't used any of the needles yet so I can't really say how they feel with working yarn. The needles were clean and didn't have a sticky residue or greasy feel. I did wipe them off as suggested by others. The needles are lightweight and feel hollow. The points on the 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 2.75 mm and 3.0 mm are sharper than the larger needles. I'm thinking it would be suitable for first time knitters, that way they can experiment with tension and get the feel of using DPNs before spending a lot of money on quality needles. Not bad, but not 100% satisfied.

The tips are sharp enough to easily take up fine yarns. I am knitting socks right now with the 2.5mm set, and they are working beautifully. Very lightweight but they feel durable. Also, I like the slightly longer length—for a 72-stitch sock, no fear of crowding the needle and having stitches fall off the needle. What a bargain.

This is a great, comprehensive set. It includes so many sizes and 5 needles of each. All are very smooth and have no color to wear off onto your project. Very happy with the set.

great sturdy needles in many sizes for a good price. i like having a set instead of buying each individual size of dpns

I love the feel of these needles, I can knit up a storm with them. Unfortunately I was needing a size US 9 for a project I was starting and learned that I didn't have one. I measured all the needles and I got a size 0, 4 size 2, size 4, 2 size 6, size 8, size10, and 2 size10.5. That was very disappointing and as you can tell I was missing quite a few sizes.
