I use these glass jars for my sourdough starter & they couldn't be more perfect! The tops are easy to put on & off, they look great sitting on my counter, and they have lasted several months now - great quality! The seal has lasted also! These would be great for making pickles or marinated veggies too. It could hold a lot of veggies. I love the size of the top - makes it easy to work with my sourdough. Great value for the money!

I just starter the sourdough journey. I tried other jars they just didn’t work in comparison. These have the perfect width at the top for stirring and mixing and the glass lids are so easy for using to leave on top . There isn’t a lip so cleaning is a breeze.

Great jars for sourdough starter. The wide mouth and lid make it so much easier to clean. They are glass but seem sturdy enough.

I have waited a long time to purchase these jars, as they are a bit spendy. But I finally did and they did not disappoint. Strong thick durable glass, easy to use and the perfect size for pickles, sauces, and fruits. I thought I might have a learning curve to over come in canning with them, but the function is easy peasy just Like the American jars no problem. And they are a beautiful addition to my canning shelves.

I jumped on the sourdough bread train. These jars are perfect! The seal is great. They are very heavy glass. Having 2 helps with being able to use a clean jar when feeding your starter. They are also great for a lunch size salad prep.

I’ve used many jars in my time, most people who spend time in the kitchen have, and these have become my favorite. Even with the questionable packaging these arrived at my home intact and I’ve ordered these on two separate occasions. I love the optional lids, the size is in the optimal zone for me, and the shape is smart. Easy in, easy out, easy to clean. I don’t have any idea why some reduce the ratings because they struggle with the clips and gasket. If you don’t want to deal with a lid that seals that way, then buy a different type of sealing jar. It’s not as if the description is deceptive and it’s definitely not the only jar to choose from. If you don’t mind the way these seal, and you have a choice between lids with these, then I recommend this item. Personally, I really like the way these seal for various reasons, but this is a review, not a novel, so I’ll leave this at recommend.

I purchased these to use for my sourdough and they work great. They are very well made and I like the straight sides so I can easily tell how much my sourdough starter has risen.

I started my first starter in these jars and they are perfect! Easy to tell when my starter has doubled due to the straight sides. I use one jar, and then move my starter to the other jar to clean the first! Easy peasy

People might be scared off cause the price but they are 100% worth it. Glass is so thick and the rubber gasket is so thick that no other jars compare. Being able to see through the top as well is nice to check for spoilage. Easy to use and look beautiful I've canned pickled beets in them, cauliflower and hold dehydrated goods.
