Compared to cables from local shop at $5 EACH, these are a great value. They are magnetic so if they are stainless, it is a very low grade so look elsewhere is that's what you want. For the price, you can't beat these. Cable ends may have a little casting slag/burr that can easily be removed so 1 star deduction for not being stainless (for the price I doubted they were stainless but they serve my needs well).Google search: A basic stainless steel has a 'ferritic' structure and is magnetic. ... However, the most common stainless steels are 'austenitic' - these have a higher chromium content and nickel is also added. It is the nickel which modifies the physical structure of the steel and makes it non-magnetic.Marine SS is all non-magnetic, so I guess these could be a ferritic grade of SS. /aw

Installing was easy. Perfect size as well. Bikes are better then cars. Only cause they are easier to manage. Thanks allot.
