Cycling Perfection!
With a little time under my belt with this beautifully crafted helmet, now is as good a time as any to review it. This Poc helmet truly does look and feel perfect in my humble opinion. Why? Ergonomics, fit, esthetic, and most of all comfort whether on a short or long ride. I initially was down because my goggle-stlye riding glasses didn't quite fit under the helmet... that was until I remembered the adjustment dial on the back. I opened it up a little and, voilà, no more problem. Some may say these helmets are too pricy. I say you absolutely get what you pay for and what you'd be paying for is a helmet that is in a lane of its own. There is a lot more I could say, but won't. I say do your homework, read up on this brand and absolutely read the reviews! If you're anything like me, this helmet will amaze...

Top tier helmet for the price!
Very comfortable helmet and not too nerdy looking. I usually wear a skate park helmet so this has been a massive improvement as far as ventilation. The fit is quite nice although the chin strap seems to be a little short so if you have a big ole double chin you might need something larger. Overall this helmet has been incredible! I will consider buying a full face from POC due to how comfy and light this one is.

Best Helmet I owned.
Great looking good quality Helmet. Sizing concern solved. If you are mid sizing 58cm 59cm go with the XL. I'm 58.5cm and the X large has plenty of adjustment. I tried the M-L and it was too narrow I could not even try it on.

Terrible quality for several hundreds of dollars I expected something revolutionary.
I'm gonna be real here, This piece of styrofoam is not worth $400 or whatever it cost. I would highly recommend something cheaper. I'm going to keep it out of spite and to punish myself for my bad decisions, but just know this thing is not innovative in any sense, It's literally a piece of styrofoam with cheap plastic and it feels like I'm going to break it by simply adjusting the straps. I WOULD NOT recommend this for several hundreds of dollars. AT ALL.

Solid helmet, but somewhat limits vision for me
Luckily, I can’t report on how much this helmet delivers on what it promises. But note that the shell is thick and reaches (for me) far into the face, re just above the eyes. When pointing the bike down on a steeper descend, this is enough to obstruct my further-out-distance vision to really make me ride blind almost and makes me comparably slow. The gloss white does the rest with reflexion I guess? I also have a Bell Sixer that I do not have the issue with.

Orange fades quickly in sun.
Fit and finish is good. The only issue buyers should be aware of is that the fluorescent orange color fades very quickly in the sun. After a short time the top of the helmet is very faded while the visor is not. I’m not terribly surprised as generally fluorescent colors have fading issues in my experience.

Der POC Kortal Race MIPS Fahrradhelm ist einer der besten Helme, die ich bisher getragen habe. Schon beim Auspacken fällt die hochwertige Verarbeitung auf – der Helm fühlt sich stabil und solide an, ohne schwer zu wirken. Die Passform sitzt sehr angenehm. Der Helm liegt sicher am Kopf, ohne zu drücken, und lässt sich einfach anpassen. Das verstellbare Riemensystem und das Verstellsystem am Hinterkopf sorgen dafür, dass der Helm auch bei längeren Touren komfortabel bleibt. Ein großes Plus ist das MIPS-System (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), das zusätzlichen Schutz bei schrägen Aufprällen bietet. Gerade bei schnellen Abfahrten oder technischen Trails gibt einem das ein gutes Gefühl von Sicherheit. Die Belüftung ist ebenfalls gut durchdacht. Die Luftkanäle sorgen für angenehme Kühlung, sogar bei warmem Wetter und anstrengenden Anstiegen. Optisch macht der Helm ebenfalls einen starken Eindruck – sportlich, modern und klar im Design, ohne zu auffällig zu sein. Vorteile: ✔ Sehr guter Schutz (MIPS) ✔ Angenehme Passform & Verstellbarkeit ✔ Gute Belüftung ✔ Hochwertige Verarbeitung ✔ Sportliches Design Nachteile: ✖ Preislich eher im oberen Segment (aber angemessen für die Leistung) Fazit: Der POC Kortal Race MIPS ist ein hervorragender Helm für Mountainbike- und Trail-Begeisterte, die Wert auf Schutz, Komfort und Qualität legen. Absolut empfehlenswert für regelmäßige Fahrer und ambitionierte Biker!
