If you mean are they not organic, then yes they are synthetic insofar as they have to be manufactured.

I have difficulty swallowing pills. Is this something i can cut into smaller pieces or crush it and put it in something like a small amount of yogurt?

How large is the pill? My mother is getting to the point where she has trouble swallowing anything larger than a baby aspirin.

The pill is long and not round.. it's coated, for easier swallowing.. However, it might be difficult for your mother to swallow. It really works!!
