Works with Home Assistant for automated garage door opener. Instructions are poor.
First of all, this is a nice zigbee relay for a fair price which was delivered quickly, I do recommend it. I bought this to automate my garage door using Home Assistant and it works great. The device identifies as an eWeLink ZB-SW01. Mine came with a case which was a nice surprise (received on 12/29/2022) The instructions were nearly useless, not completely useless because they did help get the fire going in our firepit. Despite the poor instructions, it paired with my Nortek HUSBZB-1 stick instantly and is very responsive. The relay was in "momentary" mode when I got it so no changes were required. I am using the USB input for power which is very convenient. The relay's I/O has 3 terminals: a Common in the middle, a normally closed on the right, and a normally open on the left which is what I used with our old basic genie garage door opener. The relay is toggled for a default of 1 second when in momentary mode is selected which I think they are referring to in the product description as function 1 "inching" (what the heck is "inching"?) as seen here: (From original Product description) Function: 1. Default inching Function: Press the open relay by mobile phone, then cut off the pull-on immediately(default one second) 2. Self-locking mode: trigger to Turn on/off connected devices My interpretation of this would be- Function: 1. Default - Momentary mode: When triggered, the relay will operate for 1 second and then reset to its initial condition. 2. Toggle mode: When triggered, the relay will change states and hold until the next toggle command is received. This device paired very easily, I simply initiated "add a new device" in home assistant and it found the relay without any interaction on my part; it did add the device in the domain of "light" rather than "switch". There are a few workarounds for this, I chose to add a small bit of code to my configuration.yaml as follows (using the IEEE value of your device in place of this example)- ###starting zigbee configuration code zha: device_config: 84:71:27:ff:fe:93:17:24-1: # format: {ieee}-{endpoint_id} type: "switch" # corrected device type ###Ending Zigbee configuration code After adding this to configuration.yaml, reboot home assistant and then go to the zigbee integration and open this relay device. I found that the original device was still showing in the middle of the page under the CONTROLS section but in a state of error stating something like "this device is not longer available to zha...". The new "switch" device was now present under the original "light" device so I simply opened the old failed light device by clicking on it, chose the settings tab from the popup window, and then delete down in the bottom left. Now everything was exactly the way I wanted it and I was able to utilize the "switch" in my garage door automation.

Works great. Couple tips if using it to control garage door opener via HomeAssistant
I got this to open and close my ancient Genie garage door opener remotely. The garage door opener is hard wired to my wall switch, so I knew which wires needed to be 'closed' when the switch is pressed. Wiring it up was no issue at all. I could pair the unit just fine, but for the life of me I could not get HomeAssistant to activate it. 1) After an hour of fiddling with it I changed the USB power cord and wall charger power source to a different one and it worked perfectly! So check you have enough juice getting to it even if it pairs but doesn't work. 2) HomeAssistant sees this as a 'light' device and not a 'switch' So ... Edit your configuration.yaml in your HomeAssistant config directory and at the end, add something like this: zha: device_config: a1:c7:38:da:d1:f8:52:21-1: # format: {ieee}-{endpoint_id} type: "switch" # corrected device type (change device ieee ID to your's as shown in HA device config) Restart HomeAssistant. Then voila it works! Paired with a garage door tilt sensor you can do some fun automatons. As another reviewer said, it had 2 modes ... 1 mode makes electrical contact for 1 second and one mode its always on when activated, so you can work with that accordingly.

Works amazing with home assistant and 24 V AC
I used this to control my AC external fresh air intake. It works as expected! The remote control is very responsive, and the switch is easy to install. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient way to manage their home automation.

Works with Phillips Hue Hub recognized as a light bulb.
Paired easily with the Phillips Hue hub as a light. Very responsive and does not require an internet connection to control. I now have 5 of these installed; 1 outdoor connected to a set of 12v lights in a water tight box. This one is about 50' away from the hub where the temperature ranges from 0F to 100F and the power cycles with the outdoor transformer dusk/dawn. It works perfectly every time. 3 other 12v are used to provide relay to wires soldered to a Somfy automated blinds remote control. Open, Close, and "My" (custom) blind positions. The 5th one is the 220V model to control the gas fireplace. Power is supplied via the fireplace "Aux" plug and the relay is hooked to the low voltage wall switch wiring. All respond quickly via Alexa commands.

Absolutely love this (now my 2nd purchase) - Beware of the Packaging!
Absolutely LOVE this product. Especially given the cost, it works brilliantly as a single output relay board for easy connectivity to my Samsung Smart Things. The single button selection to switch it from persistent contact to momentary contact mode is what differentiates this from the rest, and the push button setting remains persistent in memory (i.e. it doesn't reset the setting after power is cut). Works like a CHAMP! As a product I give it 5 stars! My ONLY reason for 4 stars, and this has to do purely with Amazon. Amazon has started shipping packages in Brown paper bags instead of boxes. While this may be OK with pliable merchandise (e.g. clothing) I was absolutely SHOCKED to have an exposed circuit board shipped like this. The likelihood to damage is far too great (we have received merch as of late that is getting damaged because of this), and when we talk electronics, this type of packaging is unacceptable. Either the vendors now need to start packaging their products in more robust boxes that are subsequently shipped by Amazon paper bag, or I need to shift my customer focus to Monoprice for my electronics purchases.

I use this system to make a thermostat that controls my CV central heating with Home Assistant, and it works perfectly.
