Je Suis a Toi (Monsters in the Dark)

This book quite simply blew me away. Je Suis à Toi is a dark erotic novel that explores Q and Tess's relationship so deeply that I couldn't help but fall more in love with this two amazing characters all over again, (especially Q). This is a beautifully well-written, well-built story about two broken souls that had come together healing one another, loving each other with so much passion, and without measure, and with no pretense. They have form this unbreakable bond by trusting one another, or so they thought! OMG!! This book is so freaking amazing. I could not put this book down and I end up devouring it! This is nothing but Q and Tess's journey through their marriage. There is no additional tragedy or drama other than theirs as a couple to keep you enthralled, entertain and captivated. Just Brilliant!! There’s just something unique and beautiful about Pepper Winters storytelling style that not only makes me feel part of the story, but in addition keeps me coming back for more. This is a story unlike any other, and I highly recommend it! I was so fortunate to be provided with and ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. However, I did purchased my own copy!

OMG!!! Pepper Winters writes another epic series!!! Monsters in the Dark is every bit emotionally riveting as the Indebted series albeit on a smaller scale. (4 books vs. 8) I loved Monsters as much as her Indebted series!!! The emotional roller coaster in Monsters is truly as incredible as Indebted. If you enjoyed reading Pepper's first series then this one is right up your alley!! Pepper has such an incredible way with dark stories. I am not a person that typically enjoys that genre, but somehow Pepper's stories bring out the deep emotional connection of the characters. I find myself so entangled with the love story part. The love story is so enhanced by the dark aspects. I find the characters' connection that much deeper because of it. It is only with her stories that I find this. So readers, don't shy away from any of Miss Winters's work. It may not be your genre of choice, but if you're like me you will appreciate it SO MUCH MORE!!!

Each relationship was its own mess full of faults and flaws, fighting every damn day to be worthy. What a perfectly dark ending to one of my favorite dark romance series! I read for escape and Monsters in the Dark offers just that. Pepper Winters has created a dark, sexy and highly erotic series with two unforgettable characters. Tess and Q are both damaged, flawed and perfectly matched for each other. I adore this series and read this intense story almost in one sitting. Q was born into darkness, but he’d never baptized me in his blackest desires. And because of that, I could implicitly say he spoke the truth. No matter what he did to me, he would never truly harm me. Told in dual POV's, this book is very, very dark and offers some BDSM along with the highly unusual relationship between Tess and Q. Having settled into married life, Q is hiding something from Tess that he fears will break them apart. But Tess is strong, brave and absolutely devoted to Q. She will let nothing and no one come between them! We come alive when we’re together with no cages or locks between us. Q is fascinating and irresistible. I love him!! JE SUIS A TOI is a very graphic story but it is truly Pepper Winters at her best. I'm very sd to see this series end but looking forward to what is next from this author! Favorite quote: "I loved her. I adored her. I didn’t want to hurt her. Lies. I did want to hurt her. And she wanted me to. That was ultimate freedom."

4.5-5 stars. Q and Tess are 2 characters that I cannot forget no matter how much time has passed since I last read Monsters in the Dark. Going back in their world, I was not disappointed to see where they are a few years after Twisted Together. And in case you are wondering, a re-read of the previous books is not necessary because the focus of this story is in the present, not on any build-up from past events. Like any other couple, they are committed and in love. But they are moving forward, too, so their preferences change over time and Q is having some second thoughts that is creating a war within his mind. Q is one of my most favorite dark male characters ever and he is in full Q form, such that when he tries to be anyone but Q, just like Tess, the reader agrees with her, thinking, "That's not Q at all." While Tess and Q are far from the average couple, I love them just the way they are and what they do works for them. This story shows just how much they stay true to themselves even if their desires change and that they can assimilate those desires into their current frame of life. I'm sad to see the finale of Q and Tess, but enjoyed this fitting conclusion nonetheless.

So I thought I was happy with how the book ended in the 3and book. I didn't think I needed more but oh I was so wrong. This book was everything I didn't know I needed from this couple. Even if you think you know what will happen and how it will end you have to read it. Yes I guessed from the beginning what Q's issue was and how I believed it was going to end but that didn't make the book any less amazing. I do feel like the end is rushed alittle and I'm a little twisted so I may have enjoyed some darker moments but if you read this series like I have one book after another Je Suis a Toi is nice come down from all the drama and evil that happens in the first three books. I cried and stressed during reading the first three but this one left me smiling more than crying.

In this much anticipated followup to the most notoriously hot series, Pepper Winters delivered something wicked, delicious, and delightful. The love and scorching heat that burned up my kindle while reading this story was incredible. "She wasn't a princess. F*** no, Tess was my queen. My sinning, cursing, f***ing twisted queen." I devoured every drop as if it might be my last, making sure to read slowly and savor every morsel. "We were on a never-ending tug of war where we each took turns to win. But there was no losing. We had far too much happiness to ever lose." I loved how this story is several years after the last book and how they've settled into a life that could only be normal for Tess and Q. But with every married couple, no matter what kind of sex life you have, you're still going to have insecurities and issues. "He'd love the bruises he inflicted while he wanted to bleed himself dry for causing them." It was refreshing to see them suffer internal struggles versus attacks from the outside. To me, it showed how they were both vulnerable and strong. We were really able to see all of their inner workings and how their love could overcome any obstacle. "You'll never break me." "Ah, my sweet, sweet Tess. That might be the case..." But it won't stop me from trying. This book had all the feels and I enjoyed every single page from beginning to end. My smile was huge and my heart was full when I finally read the words: The End. Thank you, Pepper, for once again showing us you are the master of the twisted, dark, and decadent. Well done, my dear!

Q and Tess are one of my all-time favorite couples. I love that they have overcome so much to be together, embracing their kinky darkness. If you've followed the 'Monsters in the Dark' series, you know that theirs was a long and harrowing journey. At the end of 'Twisted Together', it seemed that Tess and Q were finally getting their happily ever after. Of course, this isn't a couple that anything comes easy to. It was no surprise that the fairytale ending would take a little work. While their love for one another is absolute, Tess and Q struggle with settling down. In many ways, they've wholeheartedly embraced their new, slower-paced, domesticated lifestyle. However, they find their lives to still be lacking in many regards. When Tess plans a birthday getaway for Q, it becomes clear that the two need to address some issues that are causing a rift between them. Q, in particular, continues to struggle with his darker urges. When he reveals a secret that he was keeping from Tess, he also confesses thoughts that had been plaguing him. He begins to question his sexual relationship with Tess again, turning their world upside down. In the end, things work out beautifully. There isn't anything that can stand between Tess and Q for long, even themselves. It was great to have a little more time with two of my favorite characters, especially during a time with less danger when they've finally settled down. I really enjoyed the closure and warm-fuzzy feelings that this book left me with. As an added bonus, Ms. Peppers provides a sneak peek into her upcoming book. Based upon the teaser provided, I'm already dying to get my hands on a copy. It is bound to be another great one.

Fourth book in the Monsters in the Dark Series has Q and Tess now married for a number of years and there seems to be something troubling Q that Tess is trying to find out what it is so she can help him fix it. The interactions between Q and Tess continue to be extremely hot and Tess is the perfect partner for Q in that she has the same sexual appetite as well can stand up against him when others flee from his autocratic and scary nature. This book gives an insight into some of the insecurities going through both their minds despite knowing that the other loves them desperately. Yet they each seem to have feelings that they don't deserve all that they have including each other and wonder how long it will last or if the other will eventually grow tired and want to leave. Q still seems to be suffering from thinking that his need to give pain to Tess makes him a monster even though this is what she seems to need because of her past. This story wraps up their story very nicely to finish some unanswered questions in the minds of the readers as well I really enjoy an epilogue into the future of what takes place down the road. This is one of my favorite series that I have read to date, thank you for this one Pepper.

What can I add to an already amazing dark and twisted story? If you've read the previous three books then you'll know the kind of brilliance and captivating stories that Pepper writes. This book starts three years after Q and Tess have married. Q is still rescuing and rehabilitating trafficked woman sold into slavery; but something is troubling him. He is keeping secrets. I pretty much worked out what it was early on. Pepper is very at dropping subtle hints and clues that keep you not only guessing but the pages turning. Again told from a dual POV; the book is action packed as Tess and Q come to blows over Q's secrets. The power between the two is intense; sex is hot and dynamic and Q's possessive, protective streak is out in force. I love these two characters passionately. This is one series that will stay with me

This was amazing I loved revisting with Tess&Q they will never ever get old.You out did yourself with the conclusion to there story it was perfect.Tess is so strong and Q so bull headed it was nice to see Tess stand her ground and not get lost keeping her awesome loving dominating husband on track with what they need from each other to survive their happiness.It was the perfect ending.Could not ask for more worth way more then 5 stars

This was the perfect finisher to this series. It was angsty, and it was sweet. The spice was top tier, and the relationship between Q and Tess, as always, evolved and cemented their love for each other. I would re-read this whole series again

So glad Pepper Winter's gave us the ending to a horribly beautiful trilogy. Je Suis a Toi is everything I was hoping for, although, I was a little worried there for a minute! Sorry this 4 part series has come to end, but so glad I had the pleasure of reading this masterpiece. Pepper Winter's can do no wrong, I thought I had read dark, but this series took me to a whole new level of darkness that will be hard to find again. If you can handle darker than dark (I thirst for it) then you will absolutely love the Monsters in the Dark trilogy with this book being a large epilogue in sorts. Pepper Winter's has flown to the top of my favorite authors and I will be reading each and every other piece of work she has written. 5 stars is an injustice for this marvelous monster! Q and Tess will be forever in my heart and soul, bravo!
