GEARWRENCH 20 Piece 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive Extension, Universal Joint and Adapter Set - 81315A-07

I needed more extensions and universal joints for my socket wrench set. I went with GEARWRENCH because I have some of their wrenches and sockets, and they seem to be of high quality and highly regarded by product testers. This GEARWRENCH 20 Piece 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive Extension, Universal Joint and Adapter Set is nice in that you get four extensions of varying length at each of the 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" drive sizes, plus joints and adapters. The pieces are of high quality, lock firmly in place, but release with a reasonable amount of force. Between the extensions and universal joints, you have the functionality to get into the most challenging places. The adapters allow you to use different-sized sockets with your wrenches for specialty items like spark plug sockets. If you don't watch for sales, the price can be a little high for what you get compared to other manufacturers from Taiwan or China. Maybe tariffs have caused prices to rise compared to a few years ago, but I was surprised this set didn't cost a little less. I watched it for months before buying, and the $55.27 price was the best that I saw. Would buy again, but I suspect I will never need to. They should last a lifetime.

These is an excellent ratchet extension set, but you're still better off buying the wobble extensions. I really wish someone had reminded me off that before I purchased this set. Still though, if you're dead set on never being in an impossible angle situation that calls for a wobble extension, can't go wrong with this set.

Great extension set best brand for the price

These extensions have a mirror finish. Nice detail. Secure to ratchets solidly with detents all 4 sides. Knurling on the shaft great for hand starting fasteners.

Good price for a good tool box filler!

I’m no longer turning wrenches for a living and I’m in the process of switching from Matco to Gearwrench. These extensions are good quality and will stand up to most professional uses. If you’re the average person don’t hesitate to get them.

The are good quality extensions. They work with a variety of socket and ratchet brands. They have a solid fit and work very well. The knurled finger grip is a nice feature.

Bought these after watching a tool review on Project Farm. I'm not even a Handyman but often a DIY guy. These tools are excellent for price/performance.

It’s nice to have a complete set of extensions to be prepared for most repairs. The ball detent and spring were still making it difficult to put sockets on and take off. Worked much better after applying oil to ball detent hole. It would be nice if this was done during manufacturing.
