I can't remember the last time our household bought an oven mitt. The time came as the ones we were using were wearing thin by the finger tips and the transfer of hot items from the oven to stovetop were becoming painful. To be honest, I was looking for an economical/utilitarian replacements to the ones we had (they were "fancier" ones from a fancy home store) and these were them. I found a like new warehouse deal for about 40 percent off new. They arrived new looking with no damage. The material feels like a heavier canvas type material which is more shiny than an all cotton mitt which would be softer. The thickness is good and heat resistance is also good. The design is fine, nice quilted pattern -- to me -- it doesn't look cheap at all. For someone looking for a basic oven mitt that is effective and looks aren't really that important this is a good value. As for longevity, hard to predict that, however, by the weight of the mitts and the apparent durable construction, it seems like it will last.

These are by for the best of admits I have ever owned. I am definitely putting another paur in my cart. I've taken items out of the oven that are 500° and these are perfect. Never burns through never burns on the outside. And they come high up on the arm so you don't burn your arm either. Love these myths

We replaced our old mitts. These are nearly identical. They’re thick and easy to use. Great quality.

Work great so far and I like that they are easy to wipe off. I would love more color options! They grip well but are just a bit on the stiff side and that is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

13" GREY OVEN MITTS. - Are actually about 11.5 inches long from cuff to tip, only 13" when measured diagnolly. Despite this generous description, they do fit quite well my my male average to large size hands. I like them. I purchased a pair of silicone mitts for their temperature resistance, but they are clumbsy and difficult to flex and hold tray and plates. These gloves however are treated fabric and work well with high temps *425 farenheit, and are much easier to bend, flex and actually pickup wire grills, plates, and hot baking pans. I've only had them a few weeks and so far they hold up well, only time will tell how well they wear. Still for the price they are a great kitchen tool, that makes baking and cooking much easier, great for use with iron skillets as well.

They are adequate in other words these mittens work for me. I recommend them if you’re looking for good safe mitten to handle your hot pots and out of the oven. These are the ones. And the price is right.

So far they are heat protective - I haven't used them yet, on chicken pan when I cook at 470 degrees - so we'll see! They are slip resistant and grip well. They are way too big for my hands. I have small hands, but I think even if I had meduim sized hands they would still be big and kind of floppy.

Great ones, insulated, can be cleaned easily. Used for 3 years now. Great condition

Excellent product that protects not only your hands but most of your arms which is really important when working in tight quarters and around many heated objects in the kitchen! I also bought the shorter ones which are super for the microwave where long mitts can be more cumbersome.
