I bought these jeans for about $26, which felt like a great deal compared to my usual Levi’s 505s. They’re lighter and more flexible than what I’m used to, but in a good way — they move easily, feel comfortable right away, and I actually think the flexibility might help them last longer since there’s less friction and stiffness in the fabric. The downside was the odor when they arrived. It wasn’t the typical “factory smell.” It was strong enough that a normal wash didn’t touch it. I tried the usual fixes first — a regular detergent wash, then a vinegar rinse — and neither made any difference. The smell was still baked into the fabric. And this wasn’t a one‑off issue. I bought five pairs total (three in one size and two in another), ordered separately, and every pair had the same odor. What finally worked was a long baking‑soda soak (over four hours with periodic agitation) followed by a hot wash using oxygen bleach (White Revive). After that combination, the odor was gone even while the jeans were still wet, and once they dried, the smell didn’t come back. So the jeans themselves are comfortable, lightweight, and a great value for the price. Just be aware that you might need to do some extra cleaning if yours arrive with the same odor issue. Once treated, they’re absolutely worth it.

Love these jeans, the seem to maintain its color after many washes, great quality and fit.

I ordered exactly the same jeans as I have been wearing for a couple of years - 505's. However these were narrower in the leg (by 2 inches) than the old 505's. And they were stretch fabric, which I wasn't expecting.

Die Hose hat einen angenehmen Griff, ist körperbetont und sitzt perfekt. Dadurch, dass der Sattel etwas höher sitzt, ist sie sehr angenehm zu tragen unt verrutscht nicht wie bei Hosen mit tieferem Bund. Die Qualität ist Levi's-typisch perfekt, Nähte sind ordentlich und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

These have been great - thickness is fine and they’ve been durable to far. They are quite baggy, pockets large, and fairly long in the leg (for the shortest length currently available) but still ok

Horrified!!!! As Baby Boomers, my husband & I grew up with Levi jeans. All through the decades, they could be relied upon to wear well and now, in our seventies, I could not count the pairs we have bought. But now, with the companies recent change to a substantially lower grade thread count, this recent purchase is the most flimsy pair of jeans we have ever purchased!! I never would have expected Levi to have made this type of decision to boost profits. I pray they learn a lesson quickly because they most certainly have lost our future contributions to their market share! Society is having to adjust to all types of "downsizing" as companies sacrifice quality & size in the name of greed but LEVI too ..... this is a hurtful shock! Thought I would share that I have also bought a few pairs of LEE's jeans recently. Thus far they have not made the same error in judgement. Have not tried Wrangler but for those of us who appreciate a strong denim fabric, for now at least, maybe they deserve our pennies.
