Can you launder this mop head

is the mop bucket 2 compartments? clean and dirty?

This one is 1 compartment- there's a similar mop and bucket set that is probably newer than this model, that contains two compartments. However it would likely require more frequent emptying/draining of the original mop water and cleaner as both compartments in that model seem relatively small, thus the dirty side would fill up rather quickly and one would have to dump both clean and dirty to create more room on the one side. Whereas with this model, one can simply fill up a sink or stationary/additional bucket for dirty water/clean water, and not waste one's own time, money on cleaners/water, and energy making more work for oneself. If you have a small apartment/area to mop, the two compartment design may work best for you. However if you are like me and have 7 ish rooms plus hallways and stairs to mop, using this system along with a full sink or additional bucket works wonders for my cleaning regimen and my back!

How do you keep the handle locked? Mine keeps sliding down when I use it.

I found that it won’t lock if you extend a section fully. It just keeps turning. Instead, extend it almost full and give it a twist. It should tighten and lock.
