What is the thread count per inch?

I’m not sure but I can say it was tightly woven. I painted on it.

I ended up returning this. It came in as a "fabric-type" rather than a rug. Very thin and NOT AT ALL what you see in picture. I returned it and got an actual rug from this link. Also it comes in different sizes. Yes, it can be used to re-cover cat posts. It is thick enough for that. I usually use sisal rope to re-cover my cat posts. I find it lasts longer and the cats like it better. Hope this helps!
